"I did a tour recently and I will say it's a beautiful campus. However, the lady giving the tour was like a car salesman. Told me whatever I wanted to hear or what she thought I wanted to hear. Finally I asked about parent volunteers needing fingerprint clearance cards. She said Nope they don't! I asked why not? She said talk to the administrator. So I asked her to get the administrator. She walked into her office where I saw a woman at a desk, came back out and said she's in a meeting I'll have her call you about your question. Gave her my number and never heard from her. Everything there is outdated but I guess if the job gets done. I wouldn't know. My sons deserve better. Good luck!"
"Pulled my kid out of this school. She would not stop crying every time I had to drop her off. Turns out that the teacher was just plain mean. Some teachers are just not meant to teach."
"I went to this school along with brother & cousins & I have to say this school is awful. No real learning went on at all. Ms TC is one of most awful people I’ve ever met in my life. She doesn’t care about the students & their education. I’m dyslexic & have A.D.D & she had the nerve to tell my parents that I was just “ lazy “. Only two teachers at the time would help me one on one to help me understand the work until she found out & got angry. This is a rotten school ran by rotten person. Do not send your children here."
"For those that have negative reviews, I've noticed one commonality amongst the disgruntled persons; not getting one's way. When one believes that he or she has a superior intellect and attempts to alter the current policies to yield to his or her own agenda, will only find that the school administration stands resolute. The objector will then claim that the school’s administrator is a tyrant, the school’s administration is abusive to the staff and the students. I have seen none of that in the 4+ years that my child has attended this school. The only time I’ve seen any problem is when someone attempts to change the school’s methodology, whether staff or parent. My child is smart, much smarter than children who are older than him… not because the school cheats as many have claimed, but because he’s learning. The process the school uses works. Those that disagree, please don’t use this review format as a way of “paying back” the school for not allowing you to make them do things your way. The attempt at dissuading new students from signing up to the school is petty and ingenuous. Find another job, better if you leave on good terms, and find another school to educate your child. There is no such thing as parents being turned away, quite the contrary. Locked doors beyond the lobby keeps my child safe, I appreciate that. I prefer that parents do not disrupt the classroom learning environment, do the rest of us a favor and stay away, don’t cause problems. I have found no offense at any rules and regulations the children are expected to follow; not one. Dress code is acceptable, disciplinary procedure is acceptable and the students are treated well. To the negative comment regarding the computer lab using older computers, the students are in elementary school not in a computerized classroom. That complaint is as silly as complaining that your neighbors haven’t purchased their teenager a brand new car as soon as the driver’s license was administered. Children will not bring anything negative from their education when they feel smart, appreciated, accomplished and important. Don’t teach them hateful, negative opinions about their school or education."
"I have to say that this is one of the most amazing schools in the valley!!! My daughter has been attending Crown School since kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade. She has loved every one of her teachers and has excelled in every subject. They challenge the kids in every way and work with them on each individual level that each student is on. The events are so fun and the kids get to look forward to them every year! The before and after care program is affordable and so enjoyable for the kids. I have never had an issue with any of the teachers or office staff. All have been so incredible and I highly recommend this school to any parent who wants their child challenged, engaged, and to look forward to going to school everyday! Recognition is given to each and every student through out the year, and awards are given to all at the end of the year. This is a great system that they implement because it doesn't single out any child. I only wish they had a middle school and high school after 6th grade. Thank you Crown School for all you have done!!!"
