After coming from another practitioner that had misdiagnosed me and had me taking the incorrect medication for nearly a year, Dr. B was everything I was looking for in a psychiatrist and more. She actually, genuinely cares about her patients, remembering previous conversations and details about your life outside of your treatment plan. She respects your time and always arrives to appointments on time. She listens to you, validates your concerns, and works with you to find a treatment plan that will be suit your needs, both from a pharmaceutical and holistic perspective. If you have a question or a concern between appointments, she is always quick to respond to an email. I greatly appreciate her and how much she has helped me achieve stability in my life. Seriously, if you are looking for the perfect psychiatrist, she's the one!"

"I was grabbing Dr. Barbara’s website addy to give to someone else and was shocked to see her overall rating here on Google. Dr. B’s care has been one of the best things in my and my son’s life. My son, who has disabilities, has been in her care for 11 years now. No one has ever been rude to us at her office and her staff has gone out of their way to help us when we’ve run into challenges with the pharmacy, his day program, insurance, etc. In 11 years we’ve maybe been rescheduled 3 times when she has not felt well. I would much rather reschedule than have her at work not feeling well. She is not part of a “group” who covers for each other. This is her practice and she’s it. Dr B is knowledgeable, thoughtful, patient and kind. She looks for multiple options that will work to help you and gives you holistic options if you don’t want to go the route of prescriptions. She looks thoroughly into what might be contributing including doing thorough bloodwork and a meticulous analysis of the results. My son has the best relationship with her. He feels safe, happy and heard when he meets with her. He knows she cares about his wellbeing and he trusts her. She has always treated him with dignity, respect and compassion. To be clear, I am very particular about who works with my son as his mother, his legal guardian and his advocate. I can’t tell you what happened in the situations where people have said they did not have a good experience with her or her office, but what I can tell you is that she has been a consistently exceptional provider to my family for 11 years now. I have always and will continue to highly recommend her as an option for your care. Everyone has to find the right “fit” with doctors/providers for their needs, and she may not be right “fit” for everyone, but she is an amazing human being and doctor."

"Tried to get some help for my 14 year old son who suffers with depression and the website of this doctor was very welcoming and once you finally get a call back all they have to say is oh sorry we aren’t taking new patients and good luck finding help! Maybe update the website and state that you are currently not accepting new patients. And maybe be more empathetic! I guess if that’s how the staff is , then the doctor probably isn’t any better."

"I've been a patient of Dr. B's for quite some time now and I highly recommend her! She is attentive and thoroughly listens to my concerns and progress. And I never feel rushed. "DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! My son visited Dr. Bomgardner in the middle of October for high anxiety. It was quite a while until we got into her office which I thought was a good sign. I wish she would not be excepting new patients then we would not of had to go through what we went through in the hour that we met with her. She was Awful in the way she talk to my son and myself. I felt worse when I left then when I went in. It cost $345 for a visit and an hour I could never get back. He was on a waiting list at PCH for months and they finally called the week after we left her office so that is a blessing. She prescribed to medications for my son which she thought he really needed. One of which she said she has prescribed five times in the entire time she has been a doctor. When I let her know we would not be coming back she canceled both prescriptions and Is choosing to let my son suffer. Extremely disappointed so just do your research."
