"I have never been so disgusted with how a school is ran. When you tour, they make it seem so great.. they make it seem like they’re so structured and care about the children. Our child started there and we decided to withdraw by week 3. Never once did they ask for identification of who was picking my child up from school, we had different family members go get our child to see and they just released my child to whoever. I reached out to the principal in regards to my concerns with that and various other issues that came up in ONLY 3 weeks time. She did NOT get back to me, I waited for a week and a half and then chose to remove our child from the school. When I went to withdraw my child, no one asked why and the teacher was extremely rude. We went to collect my child’s things from the classroom and the teacher was at her desk on her phone while kids were sweeping the classroom. Every faculty member I met had an attitude and no one seemed to actually care about the children. It took her teacher a WEEK to get back to me for a simple question. Extremely disgusted by the school. I have never seen a poorly run school such as this.. even public schools are better! I would never recommend this school to anyone. Children deserve far better than what they have to offer."
"This school does expect your child to be accountable for their own actions (includes homework and behavior). This school does expect their students to look business appropriate with a strict uniform. There is a lot of homework you will have to guide your children through. This is a public school that sets up their students to have pride in their work and themselves. This school is pruning your children for a higher education work load. My children have been here from the beginning, I agree it is not for everyone, my children thrive here and we are proud of them and our school."
"Not to sure about this school. Looks great at first. So far the staff has been good. Although I have heard rumors about holding students back for low exam scores, claiming it's State law. BS. I'll pull my kid before summer. School policies Like detention for not completing homework/ reading log, what is that? The most ridiculous is the uniform, embroidery etc, what a circus. School should have pre embroidered shirts for sale on site. The homework is a chore, even I have trouble with it. I had, have hopes that this school would be good for my son,a higher level of learning, Now I'm not so sure. Parking lot is a mess!"
"I sent my son here for the 2 months. Teachers and staff way to unorganized. Parking lot is fire hazard and a accident waiting to happen. A staff member got hurt trying to direct traffic. School is having hard time. Principle like to down every school districts and never answer problems they are having. They have had over 50% drop out. They playground for kindergarten was the classroom. This school looks nice but it's a big joke. Move my son to a different school and he even told me he happy that he got a new school that his new teacher listens to him and help him. Principle and his ex wife got schools going since the split and him getting new girl pregnant, seems to lose drive to care for the kids. Talk like it a inconvenience. Plus there is the original school probably getting most of the funds.just was a big disappointment."
"Terrible! Here are a couple of reasons. First, they have a policy that if a student misses to turn in one home work package, they are punish by not going on a field trips. I've seen their home work package. Just in the math section alone I counted 96 math problems. Also, the teacher indicated that in order to be satisfactory homework students have to complete 75% or better. For a struggling student that is a lot of additional and overwhelming. It would take many hours of work after school to complete it. I'm not against home work if it's reasonable. Who would like their child spend 7 hours in school and spend another 2 or more hours doing math problems every day at home? I feel that some teachers just want kids to be busy without realizing that they are really not helping the student. The second reason is that the material that the students get to complete the homework is inadequate. It does not help them figure out finish the homework. The package does not include 'how to' examples and rules to follow and complete the homework. Additionally, If a parent wants to help their child, how can the parent and student figure the homework? If the student is to solve equations problems or fraction problems the instructions should indicate how to accomplish this task. In looking at their homework package, they don't provide detail examples and instruction on how to do it. The teacher should be able to provide all the necessary tools and instructions for the kids to figure out the homework. All they provide is many problems listed on several pages. They need to provide all the necessary information that the students and or parents need so that they can refer to it and go over if needed."
