"Cause it's stupid"
"I went there, and it was a hellish experience. I was once put in three sets of handcuffs and placed in a wooden cell that approximately 3.5X3.5 feet, and 8 feet tall. They would deprive me of food, water, and fresh air until I met their standards, which were unusually harsh. The fact that such a school could even be allowed to use such methods for as long as they did makes me sick to my stomach. In addition, the school even went so far as to lie to my parents' faces about what was occurring on campus. In addition, they forced us into doing off-campus service work against our will. The only other alternative was to be contained in the cells. I have been suffering from severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of the actions of the staff there, among them former principle Greg Baumgartner, and instructor Ryan Keating. In addition to PTSD, I have been long suffering from a form of amnesia due to severely repressing the memories of my time there. There is a reason that there are so few successful stories about the school: Their disciplinary measures were punitive at best and draconian at worst. They used to tell us that we ought to be grateful that we weren't in jail, as a way of enforcing a sense of complacency. There's hardly a day when someone wasn't going berserk. Once when I was fifteen, I tried calling my parents via cellphone about what was going on, and I had my phone confiscated in the process. I did so because I knew that the stress would impair my memory later, so I tried to get information out as it was happening. They only told my parents about the containment cells after I broke one open with my bare feet. I suffered bruising on my feet as a result of having my boots confiscated. I was only in the cell due to being unresponsive due to severe depression. But instead of trying to talk things out, it was into the cage with me. I often tried offering alternatives to being caged, like letting me burn off the frustration through running in the field. But alas, no. It was cages or the cops."
