"I have lived here for 47 years. This is my first visit. It's super cool in there. I absolutely recommend you stop in. They have your normal touristy gift shop sort of stuff, they have good informational stuff - about the area and animals and whatnot that you might find around here. They have local artisans and vintage stuff too! I was quite surprised by the stuff that they had in there. I was probably there for about 5 minutes, I could definitely spend a half an hour. It wouldn't be wasted time."
"The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the trails. The visitor center has local guides for sale, snacks, and clean bathrooms."
"Great place with helpful and kind staff. There are plenty of things to look at inside and items to buy such as: books, paintings, crystals, rocks, drinks, and snacks. Restrooms are also available inside as well as outside."
"This is a great place for my kids to learn about the Arizona desert. You could spend all day exploring the trails if you wanted to, but we usually explore for less than an hour in the morning to get my kids used to hiking. The beginning of the trail is perfect for my young ones to experience hiking on flat, easy terrain. Then after we finish our hike, we head over to the visitor center to cool off. It is a beautiful space with a lot of interesting things to look at. We enjoy the children's room where they have lots of books, and educational toys, although they are outdated. The staff is very friendly as well, and they offer a reading program where kids can earn prizes for books they read."
"Love these trails. There are so many to explore and each one shows you its hidden beauty and each is unique per the ti.e of day. I have spent 2 years hiking these trails and I'm still finding new connecting trails with hidden beauties."
