"I LOVE Evoke therapy Intensives. I already want to go back! After binge listening to Dr. Brad Reedy’s podcast, I knew I needed to go. I first did the Online Finding you and thought it was really great, and attended Returning to You in person, in Utah a month later. The house is so beautiful, spacious and cozy. The hostesses/cooks were SOoooooooo sweet and warm. It was so healing to gather with people on a similar healing journey. For the first time in a long time, I no longer felt like I was alone. I was able to do some really deep healing work that was buried inside me for a really long time. I felt safe to share some really vulnerable stuff that needed to be share. It was so wonderful to meet and share the weekend with Dr. Reedy, Kaysha and Jordon. I really felt seen and heard. I’ve been doing a lot of healing work over the past 12 years when I began my journey in recovery. This was different. It was deep. I had an opportunity to meet parts of myself that have been buried a long time. I was met with such love and compassion. I also felt encouraged to keep going. Dr. Reedy is one of a kind. So knowledgeable and compassionate. I love how weaves myth, story and the hero’s journey into his teachings. It really helps me to make sense of life and all the struggles that are universal. It gives me hope that maybe I can look back and see the hero inside of me. I could go on and on, I’ll let you find out for yourself. Do yourself a favor and go!"
"You will not find a team that is more knowledgeable, kind, caring and considerate in taking care of those that are most important to you. They provide an experience that really helps empower youth and young adults and gain insight into what they can do to improve their lives. They also do a great job teaching the whole family how to support each other."
"What a difference a year makes. January 31, 2023, my husband drove our newly 13 year-old to Evoke Entrada. It was such a hard and tearful experience to accept we needed help from experts. It was one of the wettest winters in years and in the 20s many nights as our child slept. Evoke taught our child to do hard things and gave confidence. We learned to do hard things like talk about our feelings meaningfully and understand how to parent more effectively. I love that part of the process is for parents to work on ourselves, identify mistakes along the way and learn from them. The homework was hard but worth it. Our child needed us to change just as bad as our child needed to change. 8 weeks into the program, we were able to visit our child in the field and experience life out there. We spent about 24 hours with the group and took part in all we could. We had family therapy in the field and finally got to put a face to our child's amazing therapist. The field guides were also such patient, kind and caring people. They work so well with challenging children. 12 weeks later, our child left and it has worked out with him being home. One of his teachers expressed to me about 5 months after he returned home that she thinks our decision saved our child's life. We were lucky to know of this program. It also saved my sister's life in 2016. Evoke has 2 generations of success in my family and I am forever grateful. It wasn't cheap. My mother borrowed to get my sister through the program. We also asked for and received scholarships from the Foundation. Even if it's hard to afford, I firmly believe that our financial investment was worth every penny. I love this place!"
"I have to say, my wife and I ran out of options for our 15yr old daughter. When our educational consultant recommended wilderness therapy I thought "we're not camping people", but we went ahead and sent her to Evoke with trepidation. After a couple of weeks my daughter finally realized she couldn't get kicked out of Evoke, she really started to progress. It was like she turned a corner and we finally started to see the the old version of our daughter. I can't say enough about the therapists, guides and support staff. These people really care about the teens they are helping. My daughter graduated wilderness after 10 weeks and realized she still had work to do and was ready to move to a therapeutic boarding school. My daughter still has set backs, but if it wasn't for Evoke she wouldn't have the skills she has today."
"We ABSOLUTELY made the best decision ever in selecting Evoke as the Wilderness program to address our 17 year old son's mental health, anxiety, depression, substance use and anger issues. We were very fortunate in the fact that our son wanted to go and knew wilderness was the right choice. We had 6 programs to choose from and we all felt Evoke was the best fit. We were so right! EVERYTHING about Evoke was top-notch. I had read some scary "propaganda" on line about wilderness programs in general with reviews like how "Horrible" they are and have "poor care" or are "not safe for kids". With Evoke, NONE of that was true! From before admission through post-discharge my husband and I, but most importantly our son, had NOTHING but great things to say about Evoke! The admission process was easy and we had help from Kaysha as well as our Education Consultant at Stratas Consulting. We were fortunate in that our son was open to us transporting him to Evoke. Yes, he was nervous and anxious about the unknow. Yes, we were scared to turn our sons whole life over to virtual strangers for the next 98 days. But within minutes of him leaving our side, the staff at Evoke, like Ashley, had us at ease and assured that he was in good hands. They answered every question honestly and were in contact with us the first day until our son was in the field with his group that night. There was weekly emails to check in and provide access to support groups, webinars and resources. More resources than you can ever finish but so very helpful! The parent support group was every Thursday and we were so relieved to hear from other parents about their experiences and to find that none of the negative things we read on line were true!! It was amazing to have those parents to lean on and ask questions and not just the first week. EVERY week! I could fill pages about the incredible outcomes our family experienced but I'll summarize. Our therapist, Anthony, was absolutely the perfect fit for our son and us. He was a kind, intelligent and caring soul that worked miracles with our son and our family to change dynamics and facilitate healthy changes. We could not have asked for a better therapist. The guides were also very knowledgeable and caring and did an incredible job of fostering and mentoring and providing a healthy camp environment. Our son told many funny stories about the guides as they really touched his life. My son had all the food he needed/asked for, was never once thirsty from lack of water and the top-notch gear kept him warm in Feb-April and cool in May. They were well cared for with Medical visits once a week to check weight, vitals and hydration status and guides do a foot check and make sure they are brushing teeth daily. It took our son a few weeks to really start to lean into the process of getting healthy and allowing others to help. But the outcome was a 180' turn around in his depression, anxiety and anger. He left Evoke sincerely dedicated to maintaining his sobriety which he has not wanted to do in the past 4 years. As a family, we are forever changed for the better. We learned how to communicate and listen in healthy ways. Brad Reedy's countless webinars were VERY helpful to our learning process and being able to support our son during his stay as well as back at home. The change in all of us in amazing! From the staff, therapists, guides, resources, education, gear, campsites, food, medical care, safety procedures, admissions process, parent support, discharge process, follow-up and so much MORE, Evoke is top-notch! We do not have a SINGLE negative comment to offer! Evoke was life changing for our son and our family and we 100% recommend them to any family struggling with similar issues and who need the best help they can get."
