"I recently had a surgical procedure with Dr. Afshin Malaki at Scottsdale Personal OBGYN. Dr. Malaki came highly recommended to me by my regular gynecologist because he successfully delivered her grandchildren. From the initial appointment to assess my condition all the way through post-surgery care, I was thoroughly impressed by both him and his staff. In addition to his extensive medical knowledge and experience, his bedside manner is calm, reassuring, and empathetic. His staff were on top of all the paperwork in a timely fashion and were always patient through my many calls and questions. Even when faced with the unexpected in the operating room, Dr. Malaki worked diligently (and hours longer than initially planned) until the job the was done instead of cutting things short which would have required another surgery to fully complete the procedure. The office is so quiet, never crowded and feels cozy. Sometimes you’ll have to wait to see him but it’s because he’s always there for his patients who are in labor/delivery so in the grand schemes of things I don’t mind that at all"

"Dr. Malaki is a wonderful OBGYN! I can’t say enough positive things about his demeanor, thoughtful approach, education, and bedside manner. He is compassionate and listens to your birth plan and wishes while giving you guidance and recommendations as needed. He is very supportive of a hands off more natural approach and I really appreciated that. My birth did not go to plan (was stuck at 2cm for over 14 hours in active natural labor and the hospital would not admit me) and Dr. Malaki worked with me, my husband and our Doula to advocate for me based on my birth plan and listened to my needs. Even when I changed my plan, nothing was ever forced and Dr. Malaki was mindful to give me the information I needed to make calm informed decisions. My birth may not have been exactly as I had written in my plan - it was perfect and we welcomed a healthy baby girl in a calm environment which was my #1 priority. If you want someone that is well experienced and educated that cares about their patients Dr. Malaki and his staff are highly recommended! Will be using him again when we try for baby #2."
