"Catfish and grits were good. The fried chicken benedict was not good. Too much dry biscuit, not enough gravy. Not sure what was going on with the fried chicken because it was like 1 week old chicken jerky. I loved the music selection, but it was entirely way too loud. My guy and I stared at our phones the whole time because we couldn't have a convo without yelling. Service was painfully slow and not quality. I accidentally tipped 20% and it bothered me the rest of the day. My bill was ridiculously high for the brunch expierence I got. We won't be going back."
"Dear Brunch Problems, Today was my mom’s 61st birthday. We were a party of three. Our bill was $88.65. As much as I want to leave a good review I have to tell the truth. We came in and wasn’t sure if business was open and ready for us—our party and another party was confused as to if you guys were open. Once business was open the atmosphere was cold and not welcoming. We would have expected a fun, inviting environment. The down fall of today’s experience is that there was only one waitress who did everything from the bartending to running tickets to bringing out the food to the tables she probably helping to wash dishes and cook to be honest! She was also the bar tender. Leaving no room to clean tables or assist new people walking in. The food was ok the salmon croquettes were very greasy and the waitress failed to tell us they didn’t have rice when I ordered or else I would have chosen to order another dish. I was literally brought out a side order of potatoes without the rice. They ran out of pork chops and the coffee pot was broke so no coffee which messed up the sale for the Baileys that we wanted. And they brought out near empty syrup bottles this is not acceptable and they said they didn’t have a microwave or heater to heat up the syrup. I think that once BP gets more workers and better service, business can thrive. My mom was not fond of the service at all. I saw a party who came in same time we did they did not get their food but another table that came in way later got their food. Chef please make sure to pay attention to the tickets so people can get their orders in order. We love to support black business maybe when you guys get things in order we’ll support again. I definitely don’t think it was worth the $88 dollars for what we received. We came in at 11 left out at 1:30P We ate our food because we’re not wasteful and it would have taken forever to get a reorder. Better luck next time. Come on Black excellence we know you can do this!"
"Was not what we were expected.arrived at 315. Got seated right away. Music too loud. Very young atmosphere. People dancing on the chairs of tabletop. Bathroom dirty and no toilet paper. Only one sink worked. Service was poor. Waited 45 min for one drink. Food took another hour. Food was good priced ok. Was not expecting to eat with plastic ware. Will not return. No extra napkins. Salt & pepper cane inside plastic ware only."
"I don't know if I'm the target clientele, however the prices were a bit high. It was decent food, and incredibly well made drinks. The waffle tasted like an Eggo, but according to my husband (who gave me 0 bites) the chicken was amazing. I had the banana creme Brule French toast, and it was good. But for the cost, it was ok. Sitting at the bar was incredibly loud, as they had a DJ there. As it was my first time there, I don't know if that's normal. We won't be going back, but that's due to price. It was basically $100 after tip for myself and my husband. We got 1 drink, and 1 entree each. That's a bit too high. We would have spent the same amount on 2 drinks each, an app, and an entree each at most places for that cost."
