"Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I was on the phone with this company for about 30 min for one small issue, and probably 27 of them I was put on hold. I then was turned down by the representative at the end of the call when I asked to be helped with another similar claims issue. I was told one per call. I understand that your staff might be poorly trained or you’re short staffed. Perhaps this rule is to cut down on hold times? But if I’m going to call back and be put in a que all over again, for another rep to intake all of my info again and verify me again…this is just a lot of waisted time on everyone’s part. My time is valuable too and if I’m patiently waiting through your long hold times, I at least expect all of my issues to be resolved by the end of my call. Reading through these terrible reviews and numerous hits at BBB, I now have a much clearer picture. Theo, save it. We aren’t interested"
"I would give a negative 100 if I could. Most ignorant & rude customer service I have ever experienced. Talking over me, raising thier voices and hanging up on me. Found out my procedure would not be covered scheduled for 2/9. Called 1/31 at 9am to cancel February coverage and was told they will cancel coverage but no refund my 372.70 because I didn't phone them on 1/30. How can you charge me and not refund me for services that haven't been provided as the month hasn't started yet. Fighting this. Mad at myself for not reading reviews, can't believe they even have 2 stars"
"I cannot fathom how this company is still in business, I guess by preying on innocent people like us. Cancelling my wife's plan turned into a living nightmare. Let's talk about their reviews, shall we? The recent influx of 5-star ratings is highly suspect. I strongly believe that all of these glowing reviews are either completely fabricated or written by the company's owners. Just take a look at them, and you'll see how blatantly fake they are. It's crystal clear that this company is engaged in a scam of the highest order. I genuinely hope that no one else has to endure the same dreadful experience that I had with this company."
"Attention all dentists….do not accept any patients with this plan. Three months ago I was actually called by a representative of this company pleading with me to see one of their members as a patient. I was told he was already approved for extractions and a full lower denture. I saw the patient, completed all work to the patient’s satisfaction. Two months later, I get payment for only the extractions. Their reasoning for not paying me for the denture was that the member’s grace period was not up. Mind you this is after a representative told me everything was covered. First off, I never signed up for this plan, I was told that it is a part of Carrington. Anyway, I immediately removed myself from this plan and Carrington as well. Attention MBA, all these horrible reviews you have online will be your undoing."
"Horrible service! I signed up for a Dental + VSP policy this year, and did not realize MBA would not cancel my previous Dental policy. I called when I saw the double charges in January, and they said they would send me paperwork to cancel the Dental policy - I never got it. I called when I saw another charge in February, and no one even answered the call - it just went dead. I then called the insurance provider, and they assured me the Dental policy would be cancelled. Guess what? I got another charge in March (including the February charge, which I disputed with my credit card company) for the policy. I called MBA again, and they indicated they would send the cancellation papers to me in 24-48 hours. I'm not holding my breath! Additional comment based on response from the owner: OK, you didn't even read the entirety of my comment. Yes, perhaps I shouldn't have assumed you would cancel my initial policy. However, the rest of my comment referred to two (now three) different times I have tried to cancel that policy. I was assured by your call center that I would receive the forms to cancel the policy in 5-6 business days. I still have not received any forms. Next the dropped call in February. Now, this month I was assured by your call center that they would send the cancellation forms via email in 24-48 hours, and I would receive a follow up call to ensure it was received. Guess what? No email, no phone call. Your people never do what they say they're going to do. How do you run a business like this?"
