"If I could give 0 stars I would. ABSOLUTELY do not rent here! I moved in a month and a half ago. There have been so many problems from the start. My floor was sunken in in the living room like there is a little pond. Nothing can lay right on the floor because it is not level. The ceiling started leaking from two places right when I got here. I have already had multiple cockroaches in my unit. My front door handle was falling completely off (real safe!) which took a week to get resolved. Now I walk out today to find that my car has been towed. They did not let us know in personal emails but only in a general notification on the apartment portal. There are no available spots for you to park in although you pay for a parking spot. LOOK ELSEWHERE! The price is not worth the horrible maintenance and lack of communication. Oh and by the way there is no cell service in this complex AT ALL. Response: To respond to the comment that was left. I have not denied anyone access to my apartment. I kindly asked for you to schedule a time to complete the variety of maintenance requests that were needed because I work from home. The floor should have been repaired before renting the apartment out as to not cause a huge inconvenience to the new renter who just moved from across the country. Also the floor was a known issue so you knew before renting this apartment out that it was a problem. Like I said in my review you sent only general notifications in the portal about an asphalt project without telling us when or where exactly we should be parking to avoid our car being towed. It is startling to walk out to your car missing from its assigned spot. I still paid for an assigned parking spot included in my rental fee as I stated. Thank you!"
"*3/11/24 Update: you're response that you wish my experience was better could easily be solved if you would send me my refund check???? ***Update: 2/22/24 will be TWO YEARS and we STILL have not received our $441.03 from this apartment complex/management company**** We moved out in February of 2022 and received our move out statement with the breakdown of charges. We were owed a refund of 441.03 which we never received. I have tried: -Contacting the manager, Stuart Draper via direct email -Called and spoke to multiple staff including an interim manager and Kathy who would take a message and never call me back (A wide range of excuses were given depending on which staff member you were speaking to) -Called the Accounts Receivables number listed on the move out statement who informed me that the manager listed the wrong number on my paperwork & that their department only deals with tenants that have a move out balance -Used the contact form on both the apartment site and management company site. - Filed complaints with the BBB and Attorney General against both the complex and management company None of these efforts have led to a resolution; we STILL have not received our security deposit check. This place is NOT worth the headache."
"We love living here. Our apartment is spacious, lots of light, large balcony with enough space for 2 full size patio chairs, a loveseat, a table, and three dog beds. The ladies in the office are very helpful and friendly. The grounds are kept clean. Landscapers come once a week, and the maintenance guys keep it going throughout the rest of the week. The pools are clean and very nice. The location is absolutely perfect. Very close to all sorts of great shops, restaurants and nature trails. There is a HUGE park across the street with lots of grass, perfect for walking dogs. The complex is older but it has a lot of charm. There are lots of brand new luxury apartments nearby, and we toured several, but they lacked character and space, and grassy areas. GlenEagles actually felt more like a long term home immediately. It’s a really lovely place with lots of friendly staff and neighbors."
"I have had a great experience living here. The only reason I am moving is to have a yard for my dogs and to have a bigger place for when family and friends visit me. All of the staff have been wonderful to work with which is rare these days.I can only think of one or two other places in the last 20 years that I’ve rented where the staff has been wonderful. If I have to move back to an apartment someday. I would easily consider living here again."
"We lived in Glen Eagle Apartments at 8275 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260, and moved out in April 2020. We left because they were not maintaining the living conditions, for 33 specific reasons. We sent multiple emails and certified letters, but they couldn't meet the demands in a reasonable time. Consequently, we had to decide to move out and find a new place to live. A few months later, they claimed we owed over $10,000. We attempted to speak with someone from the company, but they directed us to their lawyer. I sent the letters and photos, but we never heard back from that department. Now, three years later, they're pursuing $9,440. I tried to find someone to talk to, but debt collectors were unhelpful. They have reported this debt on our credit, impacting our efforts to build good credit during a critical time. We resided at Glen Eagle Apartments, 8275 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260, until our departure in April 2020. Our decision to move out was primarily motivated by various issues concerning the maintenance and living conditions of the apartment complex. In fact, we documented 33 specific concerns, which we repeatedly communicated to the management through multiple emails and certified letters. Regrettably, the management was unable to address these concerns within a reasonable timeframe. Consequently, we were left with no choice but to terminate our lease and seek alternative housing arrangements. Several months later, the apartment management contacted us, claiming that we owed an outstanding balance of over $10,000. In an attempt to resolve this matter, we diligently tried to establish direct communication with a representative who could assist us. However, we were consistently directed to their legal department, to whom we promptly provided copies of our letters and photographic evidence illustrating the issues we encountered during our tenancy. Unfortunately, we never received a response or resolution from their legal team. Fast forward to the present, three years later, and we find ourselves faced with a claim for an estimated $9,440, which the apartment management contends we owe. Despite our best efforts to resolve this issue and engage in meaningful dialogue with the management, we have been unable to find a productive channel of communication. This situation has only been exacerbated by the fact that this alleged debt has now been reported on our credit history, adversely affecting our efforts to build and maintain good credit, a critical aspect of our financial well-being."
