Reviews
"Wish I could give a better review for this community/Centex because my wife and I really do love our home but the last 2 or 3 months have been miserable. About three months ago I had Centex send out Sonoran Mechanical to check on my AC because it seemed to be running all the time. They came out and leveled my condenser because all the rain we had eroded away the dirt underneath the pad and left the unit tipping to one side. The tech came in and told me that the unit was "working as designed" but he said he added freon to the system. I thought that was weird because the house and the unit were brand new. Fast forward 2 months and I had centex send our Sonoran again because my Condenser will run non-stop from around 12PM - 8:30 or 9 PM without turning off. During that time that condenser will make a totally different noise like it is being over worked and the air coming from the vents is not really cold. It is clearly struggling to keep my house at the set temp of 76 and most days it cannot even do that. The second tech came, looked at the system and said the "System is working as designed" but said again, he added some more freon. Now I am super confused. Why is freon needing to be added after only 2 months? Again, this did not help as the Condenser would continue to run non stop from around 12 to 8:30 at night but now it cant even hold my temp at 76, its getting to 78-79 degrees or hotter in my house with the unit continuously running. I had a tech come out again and he said that he could not find a freon leak even though it was added 2 times in the 4 months I have owned this house. He again said that the system was "working as designed" but did acknowledge that the condenser running for 9 hours straight with out turning off was not normal and that it definitely should be able to hold a temp of 76. He said they do not design the systems for the homes, centex does and they just install them. He said that for my size of home he would have installed a 4 Ton unit at minimum especially due to the heat we have. I have also spoken to 2 of my close friends who are HVAC techs and they both also said my house should of had a 4 ton unit installed instead of the 3 ton I have. This has been incredibly frustrating. You think buying a brand new 300K home will be great because its new but when you stand back and look at how cheap these homes are made with products the builder puts in just to try and meet minimum standard its really sad. Its sad that I have to consider putting in a mini split system in my living room just to try and stay comfortable in my new home because I cant afford just to put in a new proper sized unit. Centex advertises this home with a HERS score of 52 but I really do not understand how. There is minimal insulation in the attic, and no radiant barrier at all. Potential buyers beware. Its not worth the headaches, it really not. You deserve to be comfortable in your brand new home in the summer time."
"This was our first purchase as we recently relocated from out of state. Mary was great to work with in getting us started on our journey with a Centex Home and the use of the Pulte Group. The process could not have been any easier and the use of an online portal provided us consistent and effective communication. Once the business side was done, Brandon was second to none during our introduction to our new home. As the construction manager, he provided invaluable insights and direction. We are very proud owners and feel extremely confident in the quality of our new home."
"BUYER BEWARE!!! Pulte/Centex will not deliver on their warranty “guarantee” We purchased a home in this community back in Dec of 2021. During our final walkthrough, we called out what looks like water damage to all the cabinets in our home. This includes all the cabinets-kitchen and 2 bathrooms. However, it was not addressed prior to move in. The Pulte/Centex manager that supported our walk through was notified multiple times that there were a number of items that were not addressed prior to getting our keys. He advised us that because we had closed on the house, that he would not be able to address items that required scheduling third party trades people to come out and fix. He did advise that it would be under warranty and that we would have another walk through closer to our 1 year anniversary and all items could be addressed at that time, or we could call the 1800 number. Flash forward to our 1 year walkthrough back in Nov of ‘22- we call out the damage to the cabinets and we’re told by Bob that it was a simple reskin, that it would be taken care, but did admit that it should have been addressed when we first called it out. He was very apologetic and gave us his word that it would be repaired. He scheduled the cabinetry company to come out and provide an estimate to Pulte. That once the estimate was in, he would request a check and schedule for the service to be complete. (Note-cabinetry people came out and advised they see this issue often and seems to occur when tiling is complete) We’ve been following up with Bob since Nov, continually getting the run around and ensured that our issue would he addressed and taken care of by Pulte/Centex. Today 4/3, Bob sent us an email advising that this issue is not going to be addressed by Pulte/Centex since they found themselves “not at fault.” I would agree that it is not directly their fault. However, they are the ones who hired the trades people. They should be holding them accountable to higher standards, just as they state in their about me section. In order for us, the homeowners to have caused this damage, we would have had to of flooded 3 rooms- kitchen, and 2 bathrooms, without also damaging the carpet, tile/grout and walls-PRIOR TO MOVING IN. I’m thoroughly disappointed in being promised a resolution, be dragged on for 5 months, and then dismissed with no recourse. We should have read the other reviews online before purchasing from them. Just google Pulte or Centex and you’ll find a slew of reviews calling out their so called “warranty” not being honored. This is just one of the issues we’ve had since move in. Our heater wasn’t even connected when we moved in. We’ve had issues with our a/c unit since day 1. Our a/c struggles to keep the house at 79 when we have the thermostat set to 75 during the summer. Which took 3 months of calls to their 1800 number before finally getting them to have someone come take a look. The list could go on and on and on…..SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! Everything is wonderful during the purchase process, but you’re nothing to them once they get that sale."
"The homes are reasonably priced, spacious open concept and beautiful. The sales staff is patient, thorough, and very accommodating. During our visit it was our great pleasure to meet and work with Tyler who was informative, helpful and just a very nice person making our visit productive and memorable."
"Michelle is amazing to work with! She showed us different homes and was flexible with us. We ended up buying our dream home with these guys and super excited to see the final project!"
