"The drs are kind and knowledgeable and we’ve been going here for 6 years and have loved it in the past. However since this practice was bought by Phoenix children’s we’ve had lots of negative experiences. Every single time I’ve called to schedule a sick child visit for the past year they’ve said they are fully booked and to try calling again the next morning. Back in December my daughter was super sick and this happened for 4 days in a row before I gave up and took her somewhere else where they were able to tell me she had the flu. Happened again this week with my 8th month old that has thrush however I didn’t wait as long this time around. We will be switching to another practice due to never being able to be seen when we are ill. The emergency on call nurses are always very helpful but when my child is sick I would like to be able to have a pediatrician I can bring them to that knows them by name and cares about their well being not making money off them. My personal belief is they have taken on more patients than they can handle because it means more money for them thus explaining why they are always over booked."
"The doctor said there was no concern for jaundice. 3 days later our 2 week old baby was rushed to the ER with nearly fatal test results. Horrible doctors and facility. Go to Papago buttes and save your kids"
"Customer service is always so so but the experience and love we get from their doctor makes it better. I will never ever take my children to another doctor as long as Buffy is there. She is so patient and kind when it comes to the kids. She deserves her roses and a raise TODAY!"
"Dr Mantrala and her staff were terrific. However my issues stem from the front office and the billing department. I had an issue with them where nobody at the front office could tell me how to pay my bill. They would mostly just blame another dept or me. I would follow every instruction to no avail. I left there because they told me they would have someone call me with a resolution. No one called and it took me about 2 weeks to have the issue resolved This leads me to Aetna Insurance and this particular office. They stopped taking Aetna Insurance on Aug 7th. Mind you we’d been taking our son here since May 25th (he was 4 days old). We took our son there today for his 4 month appointment and they turned us away saying they no longer take Aetna. Again I watched them blame everyone but themselves for the fact I was standing there with our baby who was in line to get his 4 month vaccinations and wellness check today. They told me Aetna should have contacted us, but 1. They did not. 2. How is Aetna supposed to know where I take my kid on a regular basis? 3. It didn’t occur to anyone there to bring it up to us that they were going to stop taking our insurance? They had ample opportunity between the 4 appointments and many billing calls. Very frustrated with this office and will very likely never be back or recommend it to anyone. Sorry Dr Mantrala because we thought you were terrific"
"I am giving a 4 star based on my overall experience. My infant’s pediatrician is very sweet and helpful. I’ve had great front office interactions every time except for today. When I initially came to the front to check in, a friendly lady with tattoos helped fix a schedule issue on my part which I so appreciated given I had just came off a 12 hour shift for an 8 am appointment. The pediatrician wrote down a few dates to book 2 appointments I needed scheduled. As I was leaving, I stopped by the front to see if they could help me get them scheduled. The lady who helped me during check in was busy with another parent. There was another lady with dark hair and glasses that I went up to. I greeted her with a hi and let her know the pediatrician gave me a few appointments to schedule to which I then extended my arm out to her so she could see the paper. She stared at the paper then me for a few seconds without actually looking at what was on the paper and she asked if I already had my appointment. I told her I just got out of the room and repeated to her that I had a few appointments to schedule and asked if she could help me with it. She told me I would get a text with a link to schedule. I then explained to her that I have had issues with the scheduling portal and would really feel much more comfortable if she could help me knowing there was no one else behind me that I could be holding up to check in. She told me again to use the link and that it was a new portal. I ended up leaving. She was very rude and talked to me in a tone like I was stupid. I didn’t catch her name but I will make sure to avoid her at my daughters next appointment."
