"Beware - this review is for billing - sick office visits are $349! You will be left with over $200 balance for a visit if you have standard health insurance and you have not met your deductible. Phoenix Children’s hospital is just disgusting with how they over charge. Pediatricians normally charge $100 tops for a sick office visit."

"This review is not for any of the doctors at this office. This is solely for the billing department. We have been going here for our kids since 2011, and ever since it changed to Phoenix Children's our bills have been very high ($200 for a strep test visit). Due to this issue only, we will no longer be going to this office. It doesn't sounds like we are alone based on other reviews. I would not recommend this office because of their billing practices and recommend going to urgent care instead. I have already emailed the customer service email and was told the charge stands ($200 for strep test)."

"Unfortunately I have to edit this review. Without putting my daughter’s HIPAA on blast, I’ll say this. I’ve been waiting for referrals for over 2 months. The referral manager has nothing but excuses but still did nothing to help expedite much needed referrals. Things I was concerned about regarding my daughter’s development went unaddressed and dismissed only to be immediately identified by our new Pediatrician, whom by the way sent out referrals SAME DAY."

"I have previously loved this office and the doctors. This past appointment was supposed to be a fast vaccine visit. When I made the appointment I was informed that my child would have to be seen by a doctor because they do not do vaccine only appointments (I have never been told that before and I always space out the vaccines). I made the appointment for the afternoon, pulled my child out of school early and then we waited for over an hour to see the doctor for 5 minutes. The provider was nice and did take the time to assess my child but I did not need her to. After her five minute visit we sat around for another 10 minutes for the MA to come back and give the shots. I just received my bill for the office visit that I was forced into and it is over $400. I am so sad to feel taken advantage of by this office that has previously been great."

"Dr. Newby is the BEST pediatrician!! we can't say enough good things about her. We have seen. Dr. Newby has been our sons pediatrician since our son was born, and she has always gone above and beyond in her knowledge, explanations, compassion, and advise. She always seems up to date on the latest research and advice too. It's easy to get same-day appointments if he's sick, and they have 8am walk-in times as well for urgent issues. They have well and sick entrances and rooms to keep everything separated which is nice. Dr. Newby takes time to listen to us and consider what we have to say and our observations, and always takes her time to make sure we leave with all of our questions answered and feel confident. She'll call us personally to follow up after appointments sometimes to make sure everything is okay. She has seen us through sickness and has made great referrals for issues like tongue ties or when our son needed a head-shaping helmet. Our son is 3.5 years old now and we moved a year ago nearly an hour away and we just can't find a pediatrician in our new area that stacks up to Dr. Newby, so we keep making the treck up to see her when our son needs help or a well visit. We are expecting a new baby next week and we thought we had a local pediatrician picked out, but just had a horrible experience with them, so now we're thinking we may still stick with Dr. Newby for our newborn as well, even though it will mean multiple trips a week back and forth in the beginning, but she's just that good. We're not sure why she won't pack up and open her own clinic where we live now just for us, crazy right?!? ;) We're also an LGBTQ family and have never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome in any way with any staff at Paradise Pediatrics."
