"I recorded audio of my walkthrough with the manager. Had audio of her saying my apartment was practically spotless aside from a small tear in the carpet by the front door, where some weather flooding took place and maintenance took care of. Told her it should be considered normal wear and tear and she said "Yeah, the floors come up easily." I find out later they're charging me for a deep cleaning because the carpet was considered excessively dirty, and they sent photos of the carpet. However, when compared to my move out photos, not only was the carpet noticeably dirtier than my photos, but it wasn't even the same unit, as there were slight variations on the floor between the photos. When challenged further on specific details of the carpet, they provided fake damages over the phone that they "found". When I told them I had recorded audio of the walkthrough, they stopped responding. They also charged me the extra cleaning fee before ever having had the cleaners come out to inspect the carpet, which means my money was taken before a professional estimate was provided. In short, management falsifies information and uses from other dirty units to extract as much from the residents as possible. When moving out, proactively record the walkthrough, have the manager bring maintenance, and have them point out specific things that are wrong with the unit. If they can't or don't, and all of you walk out and the keys are turned in, they can't legally go back in days or weeks later and suddenly find issues that they "missed". *EDIT* Harrison Park, you ignored me when I called you out on your lies. Find me in your inbox if you want to reach me."
"The living conditions in the apartments they offer are horrendous, mold everywhere, constant repairs needed and maintenance will not show up for days and when they do its all terrible patch work, the front office is even worse they are very rude if you have any complaints or requests for repairs. Not to mention after you move out they will charge you and never notify you until it's in collections. These people are the scum of the earth. Avoid this ghetto apartment complex your better off sleeping in a box"
"I actually really enjoyed staying here and my leasing agent was really nice and helpful getting me moved in so quick. The building is old and my apartment was like lost apartment, very outdated and used. I knew my stay here was only temporary so I never been the type to complain about wear and tear such as stains, mold, holes, or several layers of paint on the walls. I wrote in my walk through sheet everything in detail to what was already in the apartment. I didn’t think I’d have to take pictures because of this. It wasn’t until after I moved out did they give me issues. I had to reach out to them for my deposit of course. They’re now charging me for stains that that the previous renters have left that I even notated on sheet. Not only that but $300 worth of charges. I could’ve cleaned it myself would I have known that they were going to blame this on me. Not to mention I was only here 6 months. Apartments like this love scamming those less unfortunate. Take pictures if you stay here and beware of them scamming you too."
"I wish I had better things to say. Our leasing agent was great, I forget her name(Kasey?). It was wonderful working with her. However, besides her and many of our neighbors, I don't have many good things to say. From the moment we moved in we had problems such as communication with the office and maintenance. When we moved into our unit. we had discovered the A/C was broken. After a call to emergency maintenance at night, we had a temporary cooling solution in place. I'd say it was maybe a week before the A/C was fixed in our unit, with a new problem sprouting afterwards, condensation from the return vent! Thankfully it was on the non-carpeted flooring. While on the topic of maintenance, the workers themselves were great, nice guys, but communication between their department, the front office and ourselves seemed non-existent. It really was frustrating to have to call several times before getting some kind of straight answer. Our water was shut off several times unexpectedly without any sort of notice or warning at all, and odd methods of repair were employed(such as patching a section of drywall and filling it with silicone caulking). The final experience with maintenance was with our washing machine which had broken. The pump had gone bad(tested with multimeter) and we had put in a maintenance request to have it looked at by their staff for part replacement or total unit replacement. This was a month before our lease was up. Not only did we have zero amount of any information communicated with us, it took a week and a half for someone to come look at the washer, and by the time we had fully moved out and cleaned the place, the bad washer was STILL not touched. We had to take our clothes to a laundromat in order to get any laundry done in that time period which is beyond ridiculous when we're paying for an apartment that is supposed to have an in-unit washer and dryer. Other requests that were put in included pests, but were never fulfilled. Another experience with this management included being falsely accused of not picking up after our dog(maintenance worker saw someone not pickup after a similar looking dog and thought the woman lived in my apartment. He later apologized for the false accusation). They tried to fine us for it without confirming or proving it was actually us. It took me going to the office and attempting to show footage from my camera to prove it was not any of us to get the $50 fee removed, which got me a lot of attitude from several of the office workers, including the property manager, not the only instance of attitude from them. The final straw prompting this review is the final notice we have received from the apartment. As I've previously mentioned, we had gone to completely clean the place and make sure it was how we had found it, come to find out they have charged us $300 for cleaning(when the place is nearly spotless), and have charged us 2 months of utilities which is odd. Needless to say, after moving out they will find ANY and EVERY reason they can to extract every last cent they can. So potential renter beware."
