Las Brisas Apartments

"Im going to start off positive, ever since they switched maintenance they have been nothing but amazing! When i put in a request they are there day off with the right tools ready to go. They have fixed my fridge and many of my appliances. They are super nice and very professional. On the other hand someone not so professional named Kathy is the “manager” of the front office. She is super unprofessional and with all honesty she has multiple outbursts, and cant seem to handle stressful and frustration situations with tenants. Around every 6-7 months i have to go into the office to talk with her because i will get charges due to miscommunication of office members or lack there of. Then when your forced to go and talk to her she doesn’t like to admit shes wrong and honestly has no proper communication skills. All around the location is beautiful, nice people, you have your crazy’s every now an then but other then the terrible communication skills by Kathy(management) and the apartment complex and them trying to finagle you by there “mistakes” is not okay! Because these “mistakes” are reoccurring every couple months and it is extremely stressful. Especially when your getting eviction notices because of their faulty systems and knowledge."

"If I knew what I know now hell no I wouldn't move in... first Parking sucks you have to pay for parking but also. There's no assigned parking for you So you have to fight with everybody else to have a parking spot. Second laundry room the washers and dryers are dirty makes your clothes smell they don't clean them. And your clothes come out with all kinds of dog hair. Third, nothing's really updated in the apartments. Yeah, the appliances might be which is a plus but as far as the floor. It's Vinyl, which is nothing wrong with it. But it's so cheap that you move your couch or your furniture or something it pills off. Everything else is painted over like the cabinets. The tubs And while you're there for a while. The paint starts to come off and you can see that nothing's new. Fourth, biggest one hidden fees on your rent. You have so much hidden fees that if you're on a fixed income, don't even come here. If you're rent supposed to be like nine hundred bucks, I'll come out to being like a thousand some with all the hidden fees that they don't tell you at the beginning when you're signing your lease. And another it sounds like you're living with your neighbors. It is ridiculous. The guy upstairs sounds like he's bowling and the girl next door sounds like she's living in our room with us. It's ridiculous!!"

"Im not a current resident but I recently went in to tour these apartments. I will say it is a bit on the smaller side but it’s a cute apartment. However my overall rating goes towards the experience I had. I called in a week before to book an appointment and was told to come in anytime from 11am-2pm. My partner and I went in around 12pm, right away I could tell we weren’t expected. What I am assuming is a leasing agent or a manager (not too sure he never introduced himself) didn’t look like he was made aware of our appointment. Right away he said “I don’t have any appointment for today” with a bit of an attitude so we told him what we were told so he then responded with “who did you speak to?” I told him we were never given a name just a day and time frame. He then asked when our move in date was and we told him at the moment we were just looking around seeing our options as we aren’t looking to move out until about 7 more months or so. He gave us a look as if we were stupid(this is how we felt) and said “I can’t talk about prices or anything but I guess I can show you a unit” we let him know it was no problem and went along with the tour. During our very short and brief tour we saw the laundry unit, pool, and apartment unit. It seemed like he didn’t care to show us the apartment/ didn’t want to be there. We got some snack which honestly was the best part about this whole ordeal. When we walked back to the leasing office he was slightly nicer but even then it felt like (TO US) he thought we were a waste of his time unfortunately… we’ve been on a few other tours at other apartment and we’ve felt much more welcomed, heard, and respected. Not sure if maybe he was having a bad day or if this is a regular thing?? Complete turn off to possibly renting here."

"Make sure to take a good look at your apartment before signing the lease and letting them rob you of your money, I moved in here last minute which was a huge mistake my unit was infested with roaches and spiders. The walls are paper thin never got any sleep due to hearing the people above me and there floor boards creaking all day and night. The units look nice at first glance but they just pained over all the old wood with white and grey paint. They painted over hair, bugs, and bread clips. This place is not worth how much they’re charging you. At least drop your prices if I’m going to have roaches as my room mates! I moved out rather quickly due to the conditions of these apartments. Don’t expect your deposit back either. They expect you to pay rent online when there online portal never works half of the time! Be ready to go and pay for a cashiers check! Absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone"

"No where on the website does it show pictures of what my apartment looks like. It is old and run down. Nasty kitchen with the oldest appliances I have ever seen. I signed online as I was moving across the country, when I got here I was in complete shock that the apartment looked NOTHING like it did online!!! The staff was incredibly rude and did not care/offer solutions other than finding a subleaser. The apartment was so dirty when I moved in: toothpaste/water stains all over the mirror, ceiling fan covered in black dirt, my ceiling itself looks like the person before me smoked a pack a day in here. Not a single smoke detector in this place, other than wiring out the walls. THEY BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!"
