"We have lived here a little over 2 years. Previously, the property was owned by Scotia Group. They rented my unit with damaged floors, outdated filthy appliances, windows that did not lock, damaged cabinetry, holes on the walls and a cockroach infestation that took 6 months for pest control to get rid of. After AMC took over the property, there have been minor improvements. The current leasing staff has improved, and the maintenance man Robert is very kind, diligent and hardworking. The apartment is poorly constructed. The walls are very thin. So expect to hear your neighbor on the phone... The bedroom window continues to leak water after it rains. It has been repaired several times. I have communicated this with the property manager, Sabrina, but have yet to receive a response. I have even reached out to corporate. No response. The fact is this complex is old and poorly managed. Yet every time I sign my lease, there are new charges along with my rent. They charge a utility fee for $130 for water, trash pick-up, and property maintenance. We can not opt out of Ally Trash, which is the worst service! And soon we will have to pay an additional $69 for internet. We have luxer lockers that we have to pay for, too. This is ridiculous because most of the time, UPS & FedEx leave my packages on my porch! I would not be surprised if they started to charge us for the apartment complex amenities soon. The gym is never cleaned, and the equipment is not repaired upon request. I have never used the pool because it looks dirty. The upgraded units just have stainless steel appliances and maybe new laminate floors, but they have the same worn-out, damaged cabinets, very loud AC/ heating units, and old bathroom interiors. I can appreciate that Sabrina is trying to make improvements to the property, like food trucks and complex events, but that doesn't make any difference to the dwelling that I pay for. Sonoran Reserve needs to make improvements in our apartments and outdated appliances. And we should not have to pay them even MORE money for that. It is raining heavily. I was just told that a contractor service can not be scheduled until next Monday! My window is going to continue to leak because we are expecting more rain . Please do not leave an apology response suggesting that I contact the leasing office. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE."
