"This place seemed so nice at first being welcomed by Sherry the Manager on the premises. But shortly after the rules seemed to change depending on who you were. Couldn't believe I got written up for a 16 oz water bottle and shingle that got blown in from our continuous winds in my driveway. I am no longer living there across from the manager . This place was far from being Carefree sure glad that I dont have to deal with the water constantly being shut off to find out why there was Low Water Pressure . So glad to really be CAREFREE Do your Homework dont waste your time here nothing changes"

The current manager treats the residents like they are the enemy , and corporate condones this behavior by retaining her employment."

Loved our little home but just no longer felt welcomed there after I started to speak my mind. Life is too short to be where you don’t feel comfortable. Management should be replaced."

"Was supposed to be our forever, retirement home. We started to notice odd things happening in our 2 years at the park. Abrupt rule changes on the weekly being one of them. The park needs a change In Managment and possibly ownership as they refer to the tenants as Minions. Look, I lived their so I will give my honest review of facts I heard, and witnessed. We had to sell our home at a loss just so we could retreat from what I call a concentration camp.A park manager that walked up and down the road daily looking to see if you had pulled the weeds in your yard. Truth be told the park is run secretly by her husband who makes sexual comments In front of women that are Innappropriate. Tells you hey I am not supposed to say anything... but I have a secret about someone in the park. Waves his gun around In the clubhouse in front of seniors. Many witnesses to this action. Reserves the club house for his own private poker games and plays past the posted club house hours, but no one else can do that. Managments boss , She is no help, and considers all residents Minions. The manager considers all residents evil. I can't make this up. Read the reviews. We all can't be wrong. We finally were able to sell along with other good friends. I feel bad for the friends we left behind. Also look at responses to negative reviews by managment. Touchy much. Truth hurts and then they always blame on past residents. It is the worst Investment my wife and I have ever made in our life. We have owned 5 homes together. We are so glad the nightmare is over. I hope one day for the future residents will get a more caring company and management so people can retire to a community in peace."

"After reading the newest reviews, I can feel I was not alone. I recently moved from Carefree and I can now feel free. At first Management seemed so nice and accommodating. Unfortunately that was a ruse. Within a month I watched , and listened. You were a great person as long as you did for Manager and spouse. The moment you caught on you were "evil" to them. The spouse would use sultry words, the Manager would try to move him on.. but the spouse would come around when the Manager was not around. The spouse expressed that they were not happy with us because we put shades up and blocked their view to see what we were doing ( They were put up due to that very fact). Manager would decide to put new rules into place that suited them, and treated everyone as if they were in a convalescent home. They place does not offer much, a small *non heated pool and a small outdated clubhouse, yet all times are restricted to use.. this is a 55+park, I think every is old enough to know better. The actual community (people) there are truly amazing, we all unfortunately had to hide from Management to enjoy each other's company. Boavida homes.. you need to do better for your community.. Oh, and Michelle.. the Minions are still restless."
