The River Source - Arizona IOP Drug & Alcohol Rehab 2325 West Guadalupe Road, Gilbert, AZ 85233

"I went to treatment here 2 yrs ago & at that point I would’ve given it 5 stars. This time it was completely different. They claim on their website to have a holistic approach with massages, acupuncture, sauna, & vitamin IV bags. They had none of these things anymore accept for the vitamin Iv bag & they wanted me to pay more money than the $5000 I paid to get in the door! I came here wanting to work on myself & just wanted peace. I did not know it was not made aware I need to bring my medication in. So my psych medication that I’m on just an antidepressant I did not have it for 4 days until my husband drove it to the facility. Taking time off of work to do so. they refused to write me another script for it on top of it they refused also to give me my testosterone for my hormone therapy that I have on the outside. I didn’t have anything for four days and then I finally got it and this girl starts going t crazy on me so they put me in a position to fail and then they acted like I was crazy for failing They had some woman in there who was a schizophrenic that repeatedly verbally attacked me, stared me down in every group I was in. Then when I was at my max, shaking, hyperventilating, & visually noticeably pushed too far, they forced me to sit in a room with this mentally ill woman & try for the forth time to try conflict mediation. If someone is delusional and schizophrenic, this type of approach is useless. Her delusions took something I said in group & made it somehow about her. She had decided she hated me & that was it. The BHT there told me to be careful what o shared in group as I may trigger someone. What I said was an analogy used in recovery a lot. That allowed this woman to make me afraid to share in group. I no longer was allowed to have a safe place to work on myself & the BHT backed her up. This is NOT a safe place to work on yourself. I had no idea this was a dual diagnosis facility for schizophrenics as well. They should have a different level of care on a different floor than ppl just trying to get sober. Then when we did the last “conflict mediation” group. Naturally regular strategies didn’t work. . You don’t push ppl into doing something that sends them into a full on panic attack well, not giving them any of their regular medicines so their levels aren’t correct.& then act like it’s my fault. Please save yourself the drive the time in the energy just go to a different facility. You never know you could be next."
