"Working with Dr. Bala is expensive, but she easily and quickly cured my chronic (lifelong!) idiopathic constipation which had stumped every other doctor, physical therapist, "holistic practitioner," etc. I have ever seen. "I saw Dr. Bala in 2021 after being diagnosed with Endometriosis and not liking the options my OBGYN was giving me. The options I had were hormonal birth control or removal of an ovary with an endometrioma within it. I paid out of pocket because I was in a different state and it was worth every penny. She truly listened to me and what my needs were. She took into consideration my diet, sleep, mental health, stress level, and activity level. We made changes in my diet and lifestyle and added some supplements. A year after I had seen her I had a follow up ultrasound and my endometrioma had shrunk! My OBGYN was pretty shocked by that. "I was referred to Dr. Bala by Instinctual Birth Doula & Placenta Services LLC, and I am very grateful that I moved forward meeting with her. I had an ongoing problem postpartum that I feel my midwife and OB overlooked, which resulted in prescribing me a hormone prescription that I did not want. Dr. Bala listened to my concerns and was sympathetic to my situation at a time when I felt really alone in what I was struggling with. After creating an action plan with her, I left her office feeling extremely hopeful about turning around my quality of living.
