"I’ve had a wonderful experience with Dr. Carter and Shea Women’s Care. Dr. Carter is very pleasant, personable, and takes time to make sure I don’t leave with unanswered questions. His medical assistant, Karen, always called me back in a timely manner when I needed her. The ultrasound tech (I forget her name) is also very sweet! The practice is always clean and all around pleasant to be in. I’m super glad I chose Shea Women’s Care for my first pregnancy."

"I beg of you, please do not go here!! The absolute worst medical care my daughter has ever received. The nurse practitioner Wendy Jones was absolutely horrible. She has no bedside manner, is very cold, was doing things without first describing them and overall made my daughter feel very uncomfortable. It was EXTREMELY hard to get her on the phone and had to deal with her assistant a lot. No one asked about my daughters other previous conditions or health issues. Wendy would not communicate with my daughters doctors in the other state that we live in and prescribed my daughter meds that make her sick. Wendy also said she had never heard of the prescription our other doctors have provided and would not look into it further. When called to relay results, no one left a voice mail. When sharing test results Wendy was laughing and making fun of the situation like it was a joke. Even after receiving a clean bill of health Wendy went on to explain how she feels my daughter still has the medical condition she thought it was (regardless of receiving clean test-work). Living half the year in another state, finding good medical care in AZ is hard but this was the all-time worst experience we have ever had. We are convinced this practice is participating in malpractice."

"My husband and I met with Doctor Martin when I first became pregnant in 2017. Unfortunately, the pregnancy ended unsuccessfully. We kept trying to have a baby, but our attempts were unsuccessful; all 4 pregnancies ended up in miscarriages. Every time I saw Doctor Martin and spoke to her assistant Kristy, I received enormous help and emotional support. Both always were there for me, even on Saturday nights, when I was crying in bed, calling and asking Doctor Martin what I can do to save my baby from miscarrying. Doctor Martin was always very honest and transparent with my husband and with me about anything. There was more than one occasion where Dr. Martin gave us honest advice instead of just what would have made her more money. Doctor Martin is very passionate about what she is doing and very funny when it comes to comforting her patients, she made my husband and I laugh a few times. Doctor Martin referred us to one of the best fertility specialists who helped us to find the reason behind miscarriages. When I became pregnant very last time, both Dr. Martin and Kristy were supporting me, and I had the pleasure to share this positive experience with Doctor Martin as she delivered my baby this July. I can’t imagine any other Doctor to whom I can trust more than Doctor Martin with my most precious. Thank you, Doctor Martin and Kristy, for everything you have done for us during these last few years! "I just gave birth to our first baby this past week. Shea women's care was so amazing I would drive 45 min from my home in Peoria to their office each way for my prenatal care. Dr. Martin is fantastic and has an honest and reassuring bedside manner. During delivery she was very calm and collected and it helped me feel extremely secure in her care. They are always good about any questions or after hours calls. I also want to add that Dr. Martin's assistant Kristy is hands down phenomenal. She is very warm, pleasant and welcoming and has a great professional sense of humor. I looked forward to seeing her at my check ups. This is the best OBGYN office in the valley and that I have ever been to and it's no question why my friends recommended it so highly."

"I had a great experience here with my first baby. I loved being seen in a smaller office and I had great interactions with all of the staff. Dr. Martin was outstanding. She's both very expert and very compassionate and helped me successfully manage a somewhat difficult pregnancy. She always made me feel like she had all of the time that I needed of her at each appointment. I can't thank her enough for enabling me to avoid a c-section in very difficult circumstances. She always had the safety of myself and my son in mind. Everyone told me to expect the OB to show up at the very end to "catch the baby" but I had a completely different experience with Dr. Martin. She came by my room multiple times to check on me and perform procedures to help me progress. She was present during the entire time that I pushed and reminded me to open my eyes as he was being born so that I didn't miss her bringing him to my chest, a sight I cherish and I'll never forget."
