"I am so grateful to this office! I was a patient of Vanessa Plumley and she was instrumental in helping me readjust my medications so that I felt balanced and like myself. Vanessa always made me feel comfortable during our appointments and never ran late. Unfortunately, my heath insurance is no longer accepted, but I highly recommend this practice!"

"My recent experience with this practice left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I encountered a lack of empathy and professionalism from the office manager, Penny Fleck. When I had to cancel due to a genuine emergency, Penny seemed indifferent to my situation and insisted on enforcing a cancellation fee without consideration for the circumstances. This approach felt money-driven and insensitive to the needs of patients. Despite my efforts to communicate and accommodate, I felt dismissed and disrespected by both Penny and the receptionist, Mona, during my attempted rescheduling. This experience was deeply disappointing, especially considering the understanding I had shown when my therapist had to cancel due to COVID-related reasons. Ultimately, the lack of compassion and flexibility displayed by the management team overshadowed any positive aspects of the practice. I hope they reconsider their approach to patient care and prioritize empathy over profit. As a result of this experience, I will be seeking care elsewhere."

Seems like there is new staff every time I am there and friendly-familiar faces do not last long. They are replaced with obviously under-trained and stressed newbies. My provider is great but I have a feeling management is not as great and keeps the wrong people on staff. For example, I am a patient at the Scottsdale location but sometimes have to speak with the Tempe front desk I’m sure due to short staffing issues. Janie or Jenna, not sure of her name, but I have never had a good interaction with her in my time as a patient but she seems to be one of the only gals who has been around. Other than the MA Brenda who is always nice but seems spread very thin in her duties. Want to mention that the front desk gal, haven’t learned her name yet, at Scottsdale location is always outside talking on her cell phone when I arrive for my appointments. Also I had a family member recently request to become a patient there and the initial registration process seemed to have changed or could it be untrained newbies? Very unorganized and not how I remember it with Flora and Rena, who both helped to answer all my questions and emails about all the paperwork in a timely and professional manner. I love my NP there and hope to see a more consistent and available support staff soon. Luckily have only had a couple instances of delays medication refills in my time with SMWHI so I will stick it out for now. I work has a recruiter for a different career field but from an outside perspective seems to be poorly and lazily managed. And for crying out loud, get rid of your biller, she is terrible."

"I am incredibly grateful for this clinic! All of the staff here have been so helpful in my journey. I feel heard and I am seeing progress in myself for the first time in years. Scottsdale mental health and wellness institute does an excellent job providing professional mental health care that has been convenient and efficient. Everyone from the front desk to the counselor are thoughtful and caring when it comes to my treatment. I can honestly say my quality of life has improved immensely and I believe it can only continue to improve with the help of everyone here!"
