"Do not come here!! My mother was admitted for low sodium. It's been a week and we have no answers. No communication from the doctors, no treatment or plan of any kind. We don't know why it was low so we can prevent it from happening again. She will be told she will be discharged only to wait for hours for nothing to happen. She is getting weaker while she is left in bed. Leave your dignity behind when you come here also, my mother waited a couple of days for a shower and had to wear dirty clothes for several days. We have been here before and it was bad, but this is absolutely unacceptable and we will not be back."
"I do not even know where to begin. My wife and baby had some pretty big complications during labor and postpartum recovery; the professionalism, empathy, patience, knowledge, guidance, and positivity absolutely blew me away. THE STAFF HERE CLEARLY CARE AND TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR WORK - the night staff are all simply amazing. After this experience, I would go out of my way for any of my future children to be born here in that I have the upmost confidence that they would receive the best possible care. THANK YOU BANNER GATEWAY!"
"I was treated very badly. I was made to feel less than human. Once I was called to the back, I was put in room & left there with a fever, coughing and urinating on myself. No one came to check on me until a doctor finally came in to talk to me, I was awakened & told I had influenza A & I was being prescribed cough medicine. I had to ask for an inhaler. I was never asked if I had any other health conditions. I didn’t get the proper medical attention I needed. When it was time to go I was being rushed out the door. I was trying to muster up enough strength to stand up & pick up my shoe to try to get it on. A female employee (1 who told me I had been discharged) saw me without my shoe & asked me if I needed it. When I said yes, she kicked it to me. I couldn’t believe it! I wish my medical treatment would’ve been as swift as them trying to get me out of there! I was there alone, feverish, discombobulated, trying to get my shoe on and was told 3 different times by 3 different people that I had been discharged so I needed to leave. They said they needed the room for other patients. There was 1 patient waiting in the lobby. There was definitely NO RUSH or no need for the room!! Very disappointed. I will NEVER return there even if my life depended on it. I will be sure EVERYONE from my family, school, church and community know of the HORRIBLE, DEGRADING, way I was treated!!!!!! BTW I’m currently studying towards my degree in Social Work to become a Hospital Social Worker. What are the odds!?!"
"I went to Banner ER and was not satisfied with my patient care. My vitals were high and the Nurse told me to go sit back down even though my BP was 200/95 and HR was 105. Then the EKG tech came to assess me. I was having a panic attack and couldn’t stop shaking. She was rushing me and telling me stories of her family member being a RN, like me, and how much her sister cries after each shift. This did not calm me down at all. Then I was assigned a room with my Nurse Danielle. She didn’t even introduce herself. I asked there from 3-8pm and asked for food and water several times with no answers. The Dr came in and didn’t introduce himself. He was rushed and asked why I was there. He didn’t seem to concerned about my problems. I feel like the patient care overall was horrible and I will choose a different ER next time."
"Banner Gateway Medical Center is a beautiful medical center with very capable and caring nurses and physicians. As a physician myself, I would not hesitate to bring my own family members here."
