"This place is something else. I'm sure once upon a time it was a nice place. The little bridge, family of ducks and geese. But now over run with drugs, drug paraphernalia and the tons of homeless. What a site for children to see..."
"I grew up around this park and it used to be beautiful but now they got all this homeless trash hanging out. And they like feeding them. Don't bring your children here. This is not a safe place for families. Neither is the neighborhood. You'll find heroin needles in the sand if you take a few steps . Don't support what the homeless have done to this park. It used to be beautiful here. Now it's just a bunch of dopamine losers that contribute nothing to society and it would be better off for fertilizer. And for the stupid individuals that believe that it's okay for these homeless people to be hanging around where our children go. I don't care where they go. They don't belong here"
"Great park!! For all the people complaining about homeless folks - where exactly would you go if that happened to you? Don't say a shelter - there's only 2,000 shelter beds here and over 13,000 homeless people. Not to mention the fact that a lot of shelters are dangerous and full of violence because they aren't monitored properly. If they kick them out of the parks- they'll come live in your front yard. Want that? Then give them this. There's several outreaches helping these people and giving them hope, resources, and ideas to help to get them off the streets. If you're mad at homelessness, talk to your governor - who is doing NOTHING to help these people. The numbers keep rising. For now, this is a pretty peaceful park where the visitors and homeless people can co-exist. Please remember that they are human beings, too. They also stay mostly to the south side by the lake, so if you want to bring your kids to play- the playground is way across Bethenny Home and pretty empty."
"This is known by locals as homeless park , boy is that an understatement. Just be prepared to see homeless people using the restroom everywhere. My boys and I fish there . We are used to the rough nature of the people and the park . But I want parents to make no mistake !!! This is not a good place to take your Kids !!! I have had talks with my boys each time we have gone , reminding not to get very far from me . We're very aware of our surroundings. I am armed !! Having said all that . The fishing is Good ! Savy Adults can have a good catch and release day fishing here . It used to be a nice little park 10 years ago . Glendale needs to deal with the homeless problems. For now Go fishing but bring you 9mm !!!"
