The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa

"I am conflicted with how many starts to give. It’s a beautiful property, but the little details all add up. They have some kinks to work out. 1) Our room smells pretty unpleasant. 2) The poolside service has been lacking. With all the hours we spent at the pool, we only saw someone walk by and ask if we need something 3-4 times. 3) Today (on a Monday at 2:30) I was told the pool had to shut their kitchen down and we can’t order food. We would have planned our day different if we knew this would be the case. It sounded like it randomly happened last minute. 4) housekeeping doesn’t make it to the room until 3 or later oftentimes. We have been leaving by 8-9am and coming back by 2-3 and our room still hasn’t been made up. The property and pools are beautiful, but the service leaves a good bit to be desired. We would stay here again, but come a bit more prepared."

"The location is beautiful with views of the canyons, golf course, pools, and mountains. The rooms are spacious, mostly clean, but not spotless. The shower only gets warm, not hot and there are a few mediocre things like tears in the blanket, but overall good accommodations. The star of the show however is the service from David and his team which was second to none. He made me feel welcomed and important, even with 40,000 guests attending a golf tournament that weekend. It is something extraordinary to feel you’ve made a genuine friend when visiting a hotel/resort for a work event. Thank you David, Reagan, and team for taking great care of me last week!"

"Gorgeous resort!! We had a wonderful experience! The view is spectacular and the grounds are impeccable. We swam a lot and there's about 5 pools. One has a great twisting water slide and it was fun!! One has a walk up bar. 3 hot tubs very nice! This is a beautiful place!"

"Amazing pools, view and staff! The manager David was very accommodating and made it feel like we were the only guests there. They have huge pools, 3 jacuzzis, a cold plunge, and even a water slide all outdoors with a beautiful view. I’d recommend going in winter to avoid the crowds. I hope they will get start offering a vegan meal option at the restaurant, we have 4 vegans in our crew and had to leave the resort for every meal. Otherwise, no complaints."

"I heard the resort was decked out for Christmas and the spa is amazing. I wasn't able to get an appointment for the spa, but the mountain view from the room along with the rainfall shower made it a great experience. The staff at check-in weren't too pleasant upon arrival or departure, but the valet attendant was spectacular. He snapped a few photos for me and provided bottled water for my departure. The room was very nice and well spaced. The bathroom could use some renovation but it was also nice. Part of the charm for the resort was all the nature around me. I'd definitely return"
