"Beautiful campground. Rangers are very friendly. The sky is about as dark as it can be. I can see the Milky Way. Generators run 8-11am and 4-6pm. I only need 1.5 hrs in the morning. I let the solar top off during the day and maybe 20 mins at night. I have two 100 amp hr lithium batteries. I do have 1 solar panel on the roof. Lots of hiking. All pull through sites. Fuel north in Why. Ajo has propane. Keep your engine hood open to keep out the pack rats. They can eat the engine wires. We also use peppermint oil to help keep them out."
"Rv park mixed with nature. Great sunsets. They have sizes on sites/reservations. Mine was about a foot short of the max. Plenty of room in site for trailer and truck. roads are narrow and tight getting into site."
"Organ Pipe NM campground. It is a lovely, uncrowded campground. And the views are marvelous, of the Ajo mountains across the valley. We used a tent space and it was fine for our small 4-wheel camper pickup. The roads are paved, and each site has a BBQ rack and a picnic table. Some have covered tables as well. Bathrooms have flush toilets, showers in spring, and are clean and well lit. Recommend highly for this who wish to explore this little traveled corner of AZ."
"Campground is close to visitor center and hiking trails. Was very clean and had bathrooms with cold running water. Tent site had a level platform, picnic table and grill. No fire pits. Depending on which site you reserve, your view can vary greatly. With so many sites you lose the feel of being remote. Also, a fair amount of noise from the highway plus light pollution from Lukeview."
"If you have a large RV with slide-outs some places have sharp branches that can scratch RV. They are tight to maneuver through. Very nice, clean and lots of trails or day rides around dirt roads."
