Memo's Auto Body Shop & Collision Repair

"I was referred to Meme by a handsome gentleman at the fine tire shop nearby. I recently hit a curb and damaged the spoiler and undercarriage on my convertible. Meme and his employee Billy gave me a verbal cash quote of $800 to repair the spoiler which I was fine with. I failed to get a written estimate of repairs and just took them for their word and handshake. I brought my car in on the following Monday for the repairs. They told me the car would be done by Wednesday so I had a friend drop me off on Wednesday afternoon. Upon arriving I noticed the car was still parked in the same location and had not even been started in. Meme apologized and said they were very busy working on other insurance jobs that had higher priority. Three weeks passed by and they still had not started on any repairs to my car. I was becoming very upset and wanted to take my car elsewhere at this point. Meme told me that he had to order the parts for my car and could not return them so I would have to pay the $560 for the parts and a $200 storage fee if I wanted to remove my car. I could not afford to pay him for the parts and storage and then take my car to another repair shop and pay them for the repairs as well so I decided to leave it with meme. Meme promised me that it would get done by Friday and that he was expecting the parts to arrive on this day so I left without my car AGAIN. I called meme on Friday morning to confirm that my car would be fixed so that I could arrange to get a ride to his shop. Meme assured me that my car would be ready for pick up by 2:30 pm. He also told me to bring an additional $480 cash with me. I asked him why I had to pay so much more than his estimate and he said, “the estimate I gave you expired and that the cost of the parts and paint had increased”. I told him that was unfair and he said that was the best cash price he could do. I was very upset and he made me cry. I had no choice but to pat him the extra $480 because I needed my car. The quality of repair was horrible, parts were either missing or not put back together properly. I ended up having to take my car to a different body shop on Deer Valley to put it back together properly. They told me that Meme over charged me for the repairs and advised me on how to report him to the correct local authorities. I just wish I had read these reviews before I came to this body shop."

"PLEASE READ. I had a terrible experience with this body shop. First, they quoted my truck to get painted within 1 month and it took them 6 months. When I received the truck, parts were missing (screws, handlebars, plastic trim, etc.. and they claimed they weren’t there originally!!) They over-sprayed paint all over the interior seats/carpet/lights and would not clean it before returning the truck. I was charged 4K upfront for material and it took 6 months to complete!! I was charged additional $2000 for them to finish the job. I have given this business multiple opportunities over the past 5 years and every job has failed to meet their quoted time frame/price. This business is shady and fraudulent. They are the furthest from business professional and lack business ethics. Do NOT come here!!"
