Lakeside Spa & Fitness Center at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

"My partner got me a giftcard for a massage here for Christmas. He chose it because we live nearby, he knows I love spa amenities and the website said the massage came with full day use of all amenities including the pool and whirlpool. The amenities were nice (not as nice as the spas in Phoenix, but as nice as anywhere in Tucson). I cut my day short because they don't tell you that you can really only use all the amenities if you're staying at the hotel. You need a room key to re-enter the spa. So after laying by the pool for a while I needed the restroom but couldn't go back inside to my locker. I called the front desk and they let me in, but told me to bring a room key next time. I felt really embarrassed and decided just to go home. The massage was outstanding. I lift weights, and Bonnie melted away all my tension. I walked out feeling fantastic."

"My husband and I had a couples massage today. We are not new to this fabulous experience. We usually go once a month and have done this for a very long time. Today was an exceptional experience. I hade Monika and my husband had Vanessa. It was truly the best I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt better. We highly recommend both Monika and Vanessa. We had a 50 minute Swedish massage with focus on our necks, lower backs and shoulders."

"Top notch resort however spa needs improvement. They are just a few basic services offered. I had a 80 minute massage scheduled at 10. At 1010 a woman who was clearly ill came to get me. She was sneezing and coughing her head off. She tried to tell me it was allergies, no way. I told her I was uncomfortable if she was that sick thati would prefer another masseuse . Another girl came in but and the massage began almost 30 minutes late now and lasted 60 minutes. They still charged me for 80 min and gratuity was included . The spa itself is a little run down and its very small. The actual resort is beyond amazing so I guess I expected more from the spa. Hacienda del Sol spa is down the road and offers many more services and is gorgeous."

"The spa doesn’t have the amenities that star pass or the ritz has but they are the same price. In another life I was a massage therapist and the MT I had didn’t follow the basic rules that massage has. Never asked how the pressure was, how my temperature was (I was sweating with the heated pad), and kept consistently taking her hands off of me to get my lotion or get to the other side. She was so friendly though. I’ve never walked out on a massage but I did this time. Such a shame because we love doing staycations at Loews, the Ritz and Starrpass but the spa just isn’t it….respectfully- consider lowering the prices for the subpar treatments and lack of real spa amenities"

"Went to the gym and never used the spa services. Great gym overall for a resort. Got everything needed to stay in shape while on a trip. They also got some Peloton bikes if you are crazy over those."
