"(November 2023) Subpar experience with an employee named Josh at the BevMo store at 24650 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway, but together we salvaged the business relationship, and I will return as a customer. So, what happened? I was purchasing non-alcoholic beer. Elisa, a cashier, politely asked if my address was with the store. I said no, I wish to protect my privacy. Then Elisa asked for my ID, presumably for my address. I said I’m buying non-alcoholic beverages, so I don’t need to show my ID. Josh, who was watching Elisa, said I had to show her my ID. I said if I’m forced to show my ID for a non-alcohol purchase, your store just lost a customer, and I will never come back. Upon hearing this, Josh said GOOD RIDDANCE. I was absolutely stunned. And then he said another personal insult that I forgot because I was still in shock from the first one. Soon after, however, Josh and I clarified that my presumption was wrong, e.g. my date of birth was the only item needed from my ID (company policy), so I showed it to enable the purchase."
