"Scammers!! Thieves!! My brother was visiting from Europe and he needed to buy something very specific. We came here due to the good reviews and we left extremely upset and robbed because they automatically added a 4% credit card fee to our bill which was an additional $20! Double than state tax! Usually places who charge a fee for using your credit card tells you upfront or has a sign written near the card reader but Akimel did not. LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW YOU ARE CHARGING THEM AN EXTRA 4% especially if you are going to automatically take another $20 from them!!!! Otherwise that is considered stealing and theft!! What upsets us the most is how sneaky they were about it. Why don’t you tell your customers about the extra charge before they pay?! I have reported them to my credit card company and have been told that if you don’t tell your customers you are charging them an extra 4% of their total bill, it is considered illegal. If you end up coming here, WATCH OUT FOR THE EXTRA CHARGES THEY ADD TO YOUR BILL. The credit card charge is called a “TECH FEE” and they will charge you without letting you know! Also, FYI — the average % fee small businesses charge to use your credit card is about 2% but Arizona does allow businesses to charge up to 4% if they want to be greedy. 4% credit card fee or aka your “tech fee” is absolutely Ridiculous and way tooo high of a fee. Let your customers know before they pay with their credit card!!!!!!!!!!"
