"Had an appointment scheduled to take a look at my car , no one ever called me back . Took my car to vintage speed shop and was in and out same day ."
"The Smith family is amazing to the community. They heard about my daughter trying to raise money for an out-state tournament and they stepped up and donated to her cause. They also have an amazingly talented team. If you have a Hot Rod and need some work. Check them out."
"I took my 1967 Dodge Dart here in April 2020- I explained to the owner my car had been sitting for about a decade and all the work that had gone into attempting to diagnose it back then (the car wouldn’t stop jumping time). I got my car back in June after the owner told me they got my car running in April or may but it “seized up.” The owner said there was maybe sugar in my gas tank (my car was stored indoors for 10 years). I got charged for all the labor to fix it again, which I don’t feel was right- i think i did my part in giving the history of my vehicle and these types of things should be checked prior to putting thousands of dollars of parts and labor into the vehicle. I doubt there was sugar in the tank anyway since it was stored and that was never a concern when I was trying to get the timing fixed before. But I got charged for a new fuel tank as well as the repeat labor and whatever parts they needed to replace AGAIN. I’m thinking ok, fine. Whatever it takes to get my car back up and running and trying not to be negative or think the worst- that I’m being taken advantage of because I’m a woman. At the end of the day, I paid nearly 8k for a running car- purely to get it going, not any special mods or anything like that. The shop owner assured me my car would be running fine and shouldn’t need any repairs in the near future... but I ended up having to take my car right back because it wasn’t running right- the owner told me they had the wrong carburetor on it. How?!?! Ok, they fix it and i am back on my way nearly a month later, having less and less faith in these mechanics he has working for him and the shop. I got my car back in July now and it broke down the first time I drove it on the highway (not even a tank of gas later). One of the repairs was converting the car to an electronic ignition. The fancy little (EXPENSIVE) aftermarket performance part they used on my wimpy little 225 is the thing that broke- the module and coil exploded. I took it to another mechanic, who repaired my ignition and put a standard 1976 Chrysler electronic ignition on it’s been running fine since. Now I’m back on the road and notice my car smells like gear fluid or gas. Take it to mechanic number 2 again because I don’t trust San Tan Hot Rods- it’s the fuel tank, yet another repair I had already paid for. I call San Tan and he does agree to fix it, I’ll give the owner that. I do believe he would have tried to charge me for this repair if I wasn’t so upset- i let the owner know I didn’t trust him or his mechanics and wouldn’t take it back if i had the money to pay the other mechanic. The workmanship that went into my car was not worth 8k and I only got a refund for the ignition that broke- $288!!!! I am a female and I didn’t want to think I was being ripped off. But I do think that was the case. Each trip back and forth to San Tan Hot Rods was expensive for me, not living locally and I was never compensated for that when it was the shoddy work of his mechanics that caused me to have to go back repeatedly. I would take my car anywhere but San Tan Hot Rods in the future."
"Jerry and the staff are super awesome. Great work! Great employees! My dad and i will def do business here in the future hands down."
