"I can no longer recommend this salon for children's haircuts, which is a bummer. It's not we're frequent customers - I bring my daughter in for a children's cut (listed as for 10 and younger per their website) every 6-ish months, and have for the past few years; but we won't be back. It's not at the fault of the staff, or a bad haircut, rather the "no additional guests" policy. Our appointment was early afternoon during the week, so the salon wasn't packed by any means. When we checked in, I was informed of the policy and was asked to wait outside during my daughter's appointment. My son was with us, as it's spring break, and I don't have childcare. This has never been an issue at any of our prior appointments. I was involved in the initial consultation, with a stylist we haven't met before, and that was it - outside, while my 5-year-old got her hair done. So, there's no way to confirm with our stylist throughout the appointment that, yes, that IS how short I'd like her hair cut; or which way to part her hair; if she'd like it curled; etc - not to mention the safety of my child being left in an establishment in which her parent is not allowed, because of an "additional guest" policy. I didn't bring in a group of friends, we weren't in the way, I wasn't trying to hang out in the stylists' area - it's my child receiving the service, myself, and my 8-year-old son who would have just sat quietly in the lobby, which had enough seating to still comfortably allow other guests to wait for their appointments. There was only ever one other person sitting down. My daughter's haircut turned out nicely. The staff are kind. I can recommend them if you're an adult going by yourself to get a service."
