My Nail Spa

"I went in today to get a pedicure and basic manicure. The lady that was doing my feet asked if I wanted gel for my manicure and I said I do not, just a basic manicure. She asked if the other technician can work on my manicure as she finished my pedicure and I said absolutely! At the end, the lady that was working on my hands stated she did gel and I told her I didn’t want gel. I went to go pay and Sonny wanted me to pay for gel that I never requested. He then proceeded to tell the nail tech to come take off my gel and he was being so rude. As a business owner, I was flabbergasted at how he was handling the situation! After I proceeded to ask for his name that is when he said I am not going to charge you for the gel. About six months prior to this incident, my friend experienced the same situation. I really hope they take this as a learning experience and turn how they treat their customers around. Customers should not be charged for services that they are Not asking for."

"My mom and I wanted to get pedicures so we decided to try this place out. We have been to a few places before this and were enjoying Le nail works next to Safeway but wanted to see what this place was about. When walking in we were promptly greeted and immediately sat down and taken care of. The place is clean, cool looking inside with the lights and the employees are VERY friendly. My mom and i were listened too and attended too like we were royalty it was actually really nice. The massage chairs we sat in were the nicest ones i have ever sat in at a nail salon. The two ladies working on us took their time and painted our toenails very cleanly. They even used a nail drill on our big toe which no one has ever done before. When they were done they told us to take our time and pay whenever we were ready. The last time we went to Le nail works we were rushed out of the chairs when it wasn't even busy. I have lived in Arizona for nearly 2 and a half years and have been to at least 7 nail salons before this trying to find the right place and i think we have found it! I am looking forward to returning. Thank you again! Adding: We were also not rushed into picking out which pedicure we wanted which left us adequate time to look at their menu and they let us take our time picking out the color we wanted. Most places rush us. Plus they have a lot of other services we have not seen at other salons."

"I am honestly very disappointed with this nail salon. They’re located near my job which I thought would be super convenient for me but I have been there 3 times within the last month and been let down every time. The first time I went I asked for their basic pedicure, ended up being charged over $50 which is not the price listed for the basic pedicure, the technician added hot stones which felt nice but I didn’t request it and didn’t know it was an up charge. The second time I went I asked for a gel polish change on my hands and within a few days the polish started chipping and peeling on almost every single nail. Ive never had that happen with gel polish before. Typically gel polish lasts 4+ weeks. Definitely not after only 2 weeks. I went in today to tell them about the polish chipping already and was told that because it had been over a week they still needed to charge me $15 to change the color, I said okay, even though in my opinion I shouldn’t have been charged anything considering gel polish should not be chipping already. After he was done painting my nails, I went to check out and she said my total was $20, I said “you said before it would be $15?” and her response was “yeah well it had been closer to two weeks since you last came in so we have to charge you $20, you should have come in sooner to get it fixed”. 1. If I had known it was going to be $20 to get it fixed, which is almost the full price of a gel polish change I wouldn’t have done it, I would have just gone home and taken the old polish off and been done with it. 2. I’m sorry that I didn’t have the availability to just come in as soon as the paint started chipping. 3. I also didn’t think it was as big of a deal when it was just one nail that chipped but then every single nail started chipping or peeling and as soon as I had the time to come in, I did. I even asked if it’s typical of the brand of polish they use to chip and peel that quickly but she didn’t have an answer, she just said “sorry that happened” and still charged me $20. It makes me sad because the gentlemen who did my nails was friendly and like I said it’s in a convenient location but I won’t be coming back. Update, the gel polish I just got done 2 days ago is chipping already. Another update, just went in again and asked them to take off the polish, there was no apology or offer of a refund or anything, she didn’t even remove all the nail polish or file the stuff left over off of my nails. I am not usually a review person but is this normal? Ive had such a bad and weird experience at this salon."
