"This church is a cult. They aren't getting people into replacement homes on Maui since the fire. They're buying up the property. Rather than help... They're displacing people. They only help those who are full tithe payers (always giving 10% of your gross income). They have over $100 billion in one investment account and demand you pay a full tithe or they won't help you. They refuse to tell you where they perform good works (they don't). They build tons of buildings (temples where only special members of the church can go) but refuse to aid in any way. They could end world hunger and they refuse to. They are the largest commercial land owners in Florida and they refuse to help anyone who isn't a full tithe payer. They tell you to use community resources before contacting them when or if you are."

"Guess I’ll be the only 1 star review I went here some time ago to peruse their job center, which is a medium sized room with some computers that are there to be used for résumé’s and look at job postings. Basically what you can get at a library. I am a not an LDS member and have never had a desire to be. Just a matter of preference, no hate. The people that were there on a daily basis were there to be of help. Although I only got some for a few minutes on one day. These people (whom I won’t name) had an obvious dislike of me. I never caused any issues and was there to look for a job and minded my business. But you could cut the disliking of my presence with a butter knife. They never greeted me when I came in or said goodbye when I departed (despite my daily greetings and farewell biddings). What killed it for me was when a homeless guy came in asking if they could help him to look for housing and they told him to leave and said to another patron that they didn’t want to give him money (he wasn’t asking for money) because then he will “tell his friends and then we will have more of them coming here”. No joke. I am being completely serious. I hear a lot of stereotypes about the hypocrisy of churches and church leaders/members and I usually give them the benefit of the doubt. But with this place it is 1000% accurate."

"They greet you pleasantly, take your temp and escort you to the area where #10 cans and cases of many types of dry food goods. Prices are much more reasonable than most prepper sites. There are carts on which to put your selections and even a very clean, handicap-accessable toilet. You do not have to be LDS to buy here. It is around the back of a charity."

"It's hard to rate a charitable food place. They do valuable work and seem to get the work done efficiently. All of those that I have dealt with are friendly. I go here maybe 4 times a year for various projects."
