"I go because they take my insurance. Otherwise, I wouldn't go. My last hygienist and dentist in Tucson was acquired by a company that doesn't take my insurance. I honestly base the entire dental experience on the hygienists. Their hygienists are nice, but uneducated. How no one understands how certain medications cause inflammation and sensitive gums is beyond me. One of them couldn't tell the difference between build up and just adhesive from the permanent retainer and was not gentle to where she pulled a little at the retainer. When I go and they poke and its painful, they chalk it up to me being "anxious" but I don't want to embarrass them in front of people and tell them that perhaps they should read my chart. Maybe I should since the last hygienist I had was quick to ask loudly if I ever had a lapse in cleanings simply because of a little build up in between a permanent retainer. I think she needs more experience with permanent retainers. I'm also a quiet person. They really get uncomfortable with that and visibly frustrated. One of their hygienist put in their notes that I wasn't receptive. I would suggest that if they are going to write notes about clients, it shouldn't be visible on the screen. They always put down water pick usage....while having a water pick in the room to promote for Sale. I have a permanent retainer and water pick is the good option according to my previous hygienist and Leber Orthodontics. The dentist is really nice, though. The front staff is always professional and lovely. His hygienists are hit or miss which would explain why every 6 months, I see new faces. I hope he can hire people with a little more patience, education, and emotional intelligence."

"I have been into the office three separate times. Each time I have been in I have been greeted warmly. Everyone is friendly and professional from front office to hygienist to dentist. Dr Emert is wonderful about taking time to explain what he is doing and also checks in to make sure you are doing okay during procedure. They are on top of things and never make you wait in front or back in a room. Although it may take some time to schedule its totally worth it."
