"I booked an appointment and they assigned me Jeff and he was instantly being strange and asking too much personal questions while not cussing the current customers hair. He pestered me to speak to the point where I was uncomfortable to speak and asked me to leave after I had made an appoint. I arrived 6 minutes early and he chose to take someone before me"
"I have been going to the Hair Garage for close to 10 years now, when it was owned by Lisa. She is my stylist and always does a great job with what I want done (different cuts, highlights, eyebrow wax). I have driven 2 hours from West Phoenix to get my hair cut from her on numerous occasions. She’s THAT good. A great conversationalist; she remembers everything! The shop has more of a masculine touch these days, but in keeping with its name is decorated with various license plates from all over. It’s really cute and gives you something to look at instead of pictures of people with different hair cuts or a blank wall. Lisa sold the business a couple of years ago and had been renting a station until recently. The new owner, Jeff, was previously renting a station from her, so they just flip flopped roles in essence. I was in over a couple of weekends ago and towards the end of my cut, I asked Lisa which was the oldest license plate displayed. She told me it was one that was displayed near her in a shadow box and that her customer had gifted her 2 of them when she owned the place. This sparked a huge disagreement between she and Jeff because she could not see the other plate. I won’t get into anyone’s personal lives, but it was assumed the antique plate was sold or bartered. It’s a shame that as a customer, I was subjected to Jeff’s verbal abuse towards Lisa (there was also a young boy named Austin present that should not have been subjected to this either). Needless to say, I’m hoping the writing on the wall is visible to everyone. I won’t be going back. Lisa and another talented barber, Marion, have parted ways with The Hair Garage, as have I."
"What is happening?!?! I have been a satisfied client at The Hair Garage since 2011, when it was owned by Lisa. Since it has changed hands, I'm always relieved when the obnoxious new owner isn't there. His loud arrogant behavior is annoying! I have since then learned that Lisa and another talented stylist have been fired. I will not go back. Found Lisa at another salon!! Yay!!"
"Marion at Luxor Barbershop had to fix my hair: I came in on a Saturday morning and had booked my regular barber (Marion), who I found was no longer working there. I said, “Oh well, I’ll catch up to her later; I’m here now,” and sat down in Jeff’s chair for a skintight fade. Jeff kept me in his chair for close to an hour, talking to me about everything and also nothing, as he couldn’t complete a thought from start to finish. Aside from this, that would have been tolerable if he had been able to give me the haircut that I asked for. Instead of telling me he wasn’t able to do a skintight fade, he said, “I left more hair on the sides because of all the hair you wanted to keep on top." The haircut that he gave me didn’t look good; there were lines in my hair, and he had trimmed my beard and my mustache in select spots, making my hair non-symmetrical. This led me to get it fixed at another barbershop."
"Excellent. Exquisite cut. Hot towel on my neck. Barber Lady great fun. When I walked in, barber lady was engaged in dry humor banter with an elderly woman customer about the topic of people you'd like to shoot. ;-) List does not include good customers, needless to say!"
