"I love the check-in ahead of time before you arrive. I always make sure I go when Nancy is there, she totally understands my hair, and knows exactly what style I want."
"Went for a trim this morning and got the girl with the pink in her and a bad attitude. Ask for a trim which she took 3 inches off and I didn’t mind but it was the judging attitude she had about my hair color. I already have issues with I don’t need from a place I’m getting a hair cut especially her. The worse part I asked for it to be even since obviously the last time they left the front longer and she did the same thing I only noticed it when I went to style it as I have curly hair. I don’t like complaining about stuff but her being very judgy and the attitude as if she didn’t want to be there has really bothered me."
"The hairdresser I had hoped to have cut my hair is no longer with you. The one that did my hair started out shaving off the hair around my ears and what would be considered sideburns. I stopped her immediately, very upset. That side looked awful. She said that's what the notes said to do. Every other hairdresser cut my hair and then trimmed using the shaver to have a cleaner line. She said she'd even it out and blend it in as well as she could. She did what she could but the side looked about the same as the buzz cut I gave my sons when they were little. What I ended up with has no style at all. She didn't even try to follow the lines of the previous cut. I do keep my hair short, but this looks like a cut for a boy with a little length on top and nothing on the sides. She did not receive a tip because she did not deserve one. I didn't quite understand her name. It seemed to have 3 syllables and sounded like it ended in "ina" - perhaps Regina with the Spanish pronounciation. I will not go back to that shop."
"So we take our son to Great Clips to get a haircut for school. Even though he's on spectrum he usually does awesome. Today he was overstimulated and started to get restless, he started to cover his ears. I could tell the hair stylist was starting to get mad which is understandable but then she just says yea I'm not gonna finish cutting his hair and with 3 women in there working all knowing he's special needs no one said anything or offered to help they were just staring. Well she still insists we pay full price mind u my sons hair is left with long hairs in the back and on his ears. So I get mad and say why should we pay full price if u didn't finish I mean we will pay half but I don't think it's right to charge full price. Well we get a disagreement back and fourth and even mention to the other co-worker do u think this is worth full price and she says well we still need to charge full price because that's our job. Like really? Please tell me I wasn't wrong for getting upset. Like if u aren't trained to handle kids or kids on the spectrum u should make it a point to be known. Any of my friends who do hair, was this handled right? Anyways here's how his hair turned out and now we gotta fix."
"I don't like leaving a 1 star review on the business, because it's not entirely the businesses fault I got the worst haircut I think I have ever received. I went in for a trim and to touch up my layers, I always part my hair down the side. When she started on the layers she had my hair parted down the middle. I mentioned twice I part my hair down the side, she said how she was cutting it that that didn't matter. OK, whatever, I don't know how to cut hair so I didn't question it. She kept my hair parted down the middle the whole time. When I got home and parted it down the side the layers looked AWFUL. I went back for her to fix it, I know she saw the issue. Again, she parted it down the middle. She was less careful this time, combing more aggressively and not using product to help with the knots. When she was done "fixing" it and asked me how it was, she still had it parted down the middle! She sat there and watched me part my own hair and comb it out with my fingers. It was so choppy and worse. I pointed it out and she said it looked different because I was "flipping" it. Pretty much blaming me for the poor job she did. I got up and walked out, should have asked for my money back. Will never go back again."
