"Awesome customer service! Ian and Mark were very helpful and were able to answer all my questions."
"I agree with Meltinca Kninaz’s comment regarding how Lake Havasu’s SW must have something against women. When I went there, I was told by Ian E. Bumbles it would be impossible to match the color—never mind that your business was the one that originally mixed this color for me. When I asked why it would be difficult to match the paint color, the employee disrespected me by saying “it would be too complicated to explain it to you.” As soon as he made that statement, I had to explain to him that I was an educated person with a college degree. He was shocked to hear me say that. He then proceeded to explain it to me, and it turns not to be that complicated after all. After that conversation, I had to assume he was just incompetent in matching paints. Because of this employee’s disrespectful attitude towards me, I will shop at Lowe’s now on. Lake Havasu City’s Sherwin Williams needs to re-educate their male employees regarding respecting women customers. Those male employees need to drop that disrespectful message of “it would be too complicated to explain it to you.” In other words, never ever mention this statement to women anymore. I can guarantee you that those male employees would have never say that to a man, especially knowing they might be punched in the face. Just because your male employees are incompetent in their jobs, it doesn’t mean that women customers deserve to be disrespected. Please re-educate your male employees regarding respecting women customers. Get rid of that condescending message “it would be too complicated to explain it to you” among your employees."
"I came to SW to get more paint. Christian was so very helpful and knowledgeable about what it was I needed. He spent the time and effort doing exhaustive research so I could get a product that was perfect for my needs. Thank you so much Christian."
"First time in store, needed some help and answers to questions. Waited while 3 employees had a BS conversation with customer for 5 minutes. Never asked or even cared i was in store. They must have something against women. They did the same thing to another woman left her to fend for herself she left buying nothing. So did I. Couldn't answer questions and really didn't care if they made a sale. We live in a small town and with this covid you would think they would truly appreciate ones business."
"I went there last Saturday to get paint for the interior of a house I had just purchased. I had hired a handyman to do the painting and I was to go purchase the paint for him to pick up later that day. I asked the gentleman working that day, think his name was DJ, if he could help tell me what I needed. I was showing him some color samples and asked him what he thought. His response was, "you want me to pick out the color for you?". No, just tell me what the overall color would look like, as far as hue, etc.. I had a list of things I was told to get and all he would just say, "how many do you want?" I told him the size of the house, what I wanted to do and, again, all he would say is how many do you want. I chose a color and said I needed three 5 gal buckets and the painter would pick it up later. That's when I was told I couldn't prepay, against company policy. I asked why and he said it had to do with stock prices?? There was a retired painter in the store as a customer that gave me more help than the salesperson! I finally walked out saying I would be back with my guy to get the paint. I said something like, "well, hell, you never even asked for my name". I know I was a stupid old lady that didn't know what she needed, but I feel the customer service I received was way worse than my stupidity. To make a long story short, drove to Home Depot, found the color the retired painter suggested, received the help I needed, and purchased my paint. I will be painting the exterior also! No, I will never go back to Sherwin Williams!! Update: I'm sorry but I forgot to amend this review. I was contacted by the Corporate Office as a result of writing this review and they were very unhappy with this encounter. They assured me this would never happen again and I am very satisfied with my further dealings with Sherwin Williams. I really appreciated their quick response and subsequent actions, thank you S.W.."
