"We were so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our anniversary at Sottise this year! They provided a beautiful experience from the knowledgeable, attentive staff to the incredible French cuisine. The atmosphere is intimate without being pretentious, something harder to come by in our recent experience; as other reviewers have shared, the vibes are immaculate. We absolutely devoured the onion soup & endive salad (cannot recommend this first course more highly - big thanks to our server for suggesting it!). The duck entrée, Le Canard (pictured), was perfectly cooked & featured wonderfully complex flavors - the honey & figs played up the five spice in all the right ways. Few can argue it’s even possible to go wrong with Steak Au Poivre, but Sottise truly knocked this dish out of the park, presenting a beautiful filet mignon, shallot, & creamy gruyere potatoes. For dessert we shared a heavenly chocolate tart, which arrived at just the right temperature & effortlessly followed such a delicious meal. For those seeking cocktail recommendations, their French 75 is thoughtfully crafted & perfectly complimented our meal. In addition to the amazing craft cocktail menu, Sottise has a robust selection of imported French wines. Thank you for the 5-star experience, Sottise - we are already looking forward to our next visit!"
"For the pate, deviled eggs, duck, and squash ravioli. We liked the New Fashion more than the Le Cowboy; highly recommend the New Fashion! I've never had pate like this before and not sure I would recommend it; it was more like formed-meatloaf? Deviled eggs were delicious. Duck was a little more undercooked than I prefer, it tasted kind of game-y, although, that's probably how duck is properly prepared. The squash ravioli was alright; a good vegetarian option though!"
"If I could give a 6th ⭐️ I would. This ranks right up there with any Michelin restaurant I’ve been to, and the vibe is without question the most relaxing environment. We sat outside by the window with a cool AC breeze coming from inside by the bar. All the while a smell of rosemary (bartender was toasting it for cocktails) and instrumental jazz that was at a solid level but was no difficulty hearing conversation. Between my date and i we are a fair amount, trying many things and we’re impressed by all. Highly recommend the mussels. They were the biggest I’ve had and in par to a remarkable dinner along the Mediterranean in Southern France."
"Perfection, in every sip and bite! Our foodie household rarely stops to leave a review! Our delicious dinner of small plates were fantastic blend of flavors and textures. With an attentive but laid back service team, we’ll be back more often. Believe the hype. Steamed mussels were best we’ve had in 30 years, the salmon rillette with house pickled shallots, creme fresche and trout roe blew us away, and the pasta special was great. Cocktails fantastic too - a new place to meet friends for a New Fashions. Go, but leave room for us."
