"What a cool place. Bar and grill with a dessert shop on the grounds as well. Small indoor seating and a large outdoor seating with heaters everywhere. This would be a great get together with adult friends. Food was good upscale bar food. Would I go again? Absolutely!"
"If you are a health nut, you might as well skip this review right now. I had the donut burger. Two donuts for buns. A big, thick patty. Bacon. A fried egg. I am CONFIDENT that I traded several months of my life for this burger. And it was absolutely worth it. The perfect blend of sweet and savory. I could have eaten two of them if I was confident it wouldn't lead to instantaneous heart failure. Fantastic work."
"An older restaurant with some curb appeal. This place was recommended by a friend and glad that he did. Burger was a little messy but had a good flavor. I do wish that they served fries instead of chips, but the chips were tasty nonetheless."
"The House has some good and bad. Generally there is a good atmosphere when you see it from the outside. They have a good outdoor space and sometimes music. In the mountains this is a plus in the summer. In the winter this area is dead and empty. Over the years we have tried this spot several times and each time there were service issues. This last dinner, we placed our order, and 2 guests received their orders, and as one was getting up to leave we finally received our food. Other people sat down waiting for a server for a long time and didn't know it was a cafeteria-restaurant style (there is nothing showing customers where to order too) and they waited for about 30 minutes. You order inside, go to your seat with a playing card (how they find you), and a server brings out your food. They will not ask if you need anything else as it's ALL self service- there is a table inside with packaged condiments and a soda station... much like getting food at the gas station. There is little to no table service. Once you understand this setup, the lack of customer service is easier to swallow. The food is good but personally stick to the items that sound "normal" as the stuff that seem odd (like the donut burger, ultimate nachos, etc) are not so focused on quality. These items cater more toward gluttony, however, may be good to share as they are big portions. Another odd thing is that they serve everyone in to-go boxes. A couple next to us said it implies that they don't want anyone to stay and eat; or order anything else. Which is a good point. Quite messy too (when they brought my burger out the mustard covered the inside wall before I touched it- see pic). The general service can be described as unenthusiastic. Mainly young adults and teens into their own side conversations. This would've gotten 2 stars but each time it was clean so deserves a 3rd star in my book. (Note- they have a constant "plumbing issue" and can have smelly sewage at times; not their fault as that area is prone to this). Overall, there are few options in town that offer primarily outdoor dining; it is a good option for out-of-towners."
"Such a cool place to get comfy & stay a while. The PB&J burger was out of this world & so we’re the roasted red pepper chips! Plenty of space to sit around & play games outside. Fire was warm & beer was cold!"
