"This is my kinda place: busy, edgy, my kids would call it “grimy” as a compliment! Fast Moving bartenders serve excellent cocktails in a rapid pace. We didn’t see any live acts but DJs were very good. It started with all dressed up crowd from science convention & changed to trendy mixed urban youth. We were visiting from out of town and liked it so much that we came next night again, only this time we were surrounded by mostly queer African American crowd that came to dance & support the DJ: it was fun to watch. If you want it real, you have to come here! BTW, 5 ⭐️ for food is obvious given for drinks here!"
"Definitely a great bar to go to with your friends and enjoy a good time and unwind with your friends. They have a wide of drinks for anything you might be looking for as well as a fun and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend if you haven’t checked them out. 4/5 stars!"
"We were lined up in the alley by the smelliest dumpster in the city waiting to get in to see TALK. I didn't have expectations--it's a basement bar, in an old building, in the city. Low ceiling, jam packed, SRO for shows It's not for the faint of heart LOUD AS HELL in there. Bring your best earplugs. Did not eat or drink"
"DJ pootiecat and DJ j-melee were brought down from heaven with an order to create downtown phoenix’s first real boiler room experience in this underground bar, and the way the crowd goes crazy you can’t deny there’s something incredibly special brewing down here. ——— I pray to god they find a way to truly ventilate this place one day because those little rinky dink ac units are fighting for their life. I imagine every time they turn them on you could hear them cry from the losing battle they are being forced into every weekend. The worst part about valley bar is when the crowd and the music are at their BEST, it is the hottest, muggiest place in the world. Truly ruins an otherwise perfect experience in downtown."
"Went here for a concert, so not the usual "bar experience". However, it was super fun and unique, and reminded me of an underground speakeasy with lots of industrial styling and interesting items. Very dark and cool, a respite for the long, hot Arizona summer days. It's a little difficult to find, as the main entrance is a service door in an alley behind a bakery, but I think that's kind of the idea. Overall, good drinks, service, and music if you're there for a concert!"
