Reviews
"A few weeks back, Lowe's on Ellsworth had a survey. Everyone was cheerful, and when customers checked out, employees happily asked for a review when they handed everyone a receipt. Fast forward to March 12th 2024, and it's crystal clear that the survey is over and everyone is back to not caring about a customer in the store. I have a Pro Account, and was looking for electrical supplies for a job coming up. I waited and walked up and down each electrical aisle for about 10+ minutes, but no employees seemed to be working in that area. As I went to the next aisle over, I could see a young lady stocking shelves. I asked her if someone could help me in electrical. She answered by explaining to me that "she doesn't work in that area, so she couldn't answer my question." She went on to say that "if I wanted, she could put down what she was doing, and go up to the front of the store, and ask someone to meet me." I got the jist of what she was really saying, and I told her that I will go up to the front and do it myself. I went up to the self checkout area, and spoke to a young man who immediately called and asked someone to meet me in electrical over the speaker in the store (he was cheerful, professional and competent). Having previously been in the back of the store, we (the cashier and I) saw three Lowe's employees standing in front of the electrical aisle. The moment (literally the very moment) that they heard that a customer needed assistance in electrical, the scattered like cockroaches coming into the light. One was an older man (mid 60s) with gray facial hair. Another was a woman with light brown thinning hair. The third was a biker looking dude with a long beard with rubber bands throughout. All of them disappeared like a fart in the wind. The cashier just apologized and didn't really know what to say to me. I am so thankful that there is both a Home Depot and an Ace Hardware within a few blocks of the store. Now that the customer satisfaction survey is over, it is crystal clear that no one in this store wants to do their job. They just run and hide. This is why places like Amazon are replacing jobs at brick and mortar locations. Everyone wants a good review and everyone wants more money, but not at the expense of doing their job. Good job, management. Good job! Update: it's about a week later 3/18/24). I needed to go to Lowe's because their biggest competitor doesn't carry Minwax stain. I also went in for some electrical connectors Even though the response beneath says they are addressing the problem, the EXACT same thing happened. No one could be found working in the aisles. The customer service at this location is a joke. I am also unable to leave an additional review. According to Google, Lowe's won't allow me to leave a second review; instead, I can only add onto the first. This makes it appear that they are addressing the problems, when in fact, they couldn't care what you want. Don't go here. There is a Home Depot about a mile away and multiple hardware stores where you can actually get assistance. Every single manager in this place should be fired. They have absolutely no intention and no reason to make it better."
"We walked around the store for 45 minutes, trying to find an employee to help out with lumber. We walked 15 isles, before even seeing an employee. She told us she would send someone over. No one showed. We found another employee, who told us he was too busy to help us. So, we left, & went to home depot. Will not be back."
"We are traveling and needed some bolts/nuts. Stephen was extremely helpful. While he was working with my husband, I bought some plants."
"Was desperate to find 24" gas wall oven. Was told by popular appliance store in Arizona (Sp******) I wouldn't find one and their sales guy trying to sell me something I didn't want, we left!! Went to Lowe's and was fortunate enough to meet employee Gordon A!!!! Yes, indeed, he called up on the computer the exact 24" wall oven I was searching for!!! Gordon explained everything about the oven, what to expect for installation, etc, even printed out the detailed info on it!! We will be placing the order with Lowe's all thanks to Gordon!!! Thank you Lowe's for Gordon!!!"
"This is the best Lowe’s store I’ve ever been to. The store is very clean, and they have several associates out of the floor that are willing to help people. Notably, they’re actively looking for people who look like they need help. This is not the customer service you receive from their competitors. The paint department is off the charts when it comes to knowledge, friendliness, and overall customer service. Over the past few years, I have interacted with almost every department in the store. The only thing greater than their knowledge level is their customer service. That is critical to me when I’m spending my money."
