"We came in late on a Wednesday and the service was less than inviting. At first it was funny but got old quickly… the waitress was flat out asking us not to order certain items and at one point was telling us to shut up…The patty melt was good though"

"I had the eggs, and steak, and the Big Texan burger. In addition, I had a slice of cherry pie. The food was phoenemonal. 5& Diner is the epitome of what good diner food should be."

"Had a French dip and it was really good. Had the house made chips and they were good too - about 1/4 of them were folded over and the potatoes were not fully cooked in the middle but the crispy ones fully cooked were delicious. Ended with a cookies and cream shake. I asked for a small size - they let me get the kids size - was 1/2 the size of a regular shake but only $1 less which as fine - just needed a small treat - as so delicious!!!"

"I’ve loved this place since I was a child and I’m genuinely disappointed at my most recent experience. Me and my party arrived and walked in, we waited to be seated and acknowledged only to be stared at my two waitress who said nothing after looking at us twice, it was only after I waved that one said I could pick between two booths. We then waited for someone to provide us menus and order, yet another wait (the restaurant was not busy or bustling) so there was no real reason for the delay other than the waitresses uninterest in serving us. I was gradually losing my appetite so I opted for a side order of chili cheese fries. Once these fries arrived not only were they overcooked, but overpriced as I was charged 12.00 for a side portion of fries. I understand inflation but it was certainly an overcharge for a small plate (literally). I don’t mind the beat up booths and the tables that need more than a little love but I draw that line at poor service and overcharging. Save your money."

"I’d seen 5 & Diner a few times before when in the area, so I stopped in for a lunch break. I was greeted by one of the waitresses with a big friendly smile and seated at the bar right away. The Guacamole burger with bacon was awesome - cooked to order, medium rare. Best burger I’ve had in a long time, if not ever! The establishment is clean and even has a jukebox and good old ‘50s music playing. If you haven’t been to this place you’re missing out on a cool blast from the past and a good meal."
