"This afternoon I went to Flower Child and I got the cauliflower risotto as my side. Before I ate it, I noticed these little black, almost seed like things on it and as someone who’s allergic to basically all seeds and nuts, I was cautious and I remember looking at the menu beforehand and looked what’s in the cauliflower risotto and it didn’t say it on the big menu up top. But just to be safe before I ate any of it I went up to the person who is taking orders and I asked if there are any seeds or nuts in the cauliflower risotto and she looks in the binder with all the ingredients and everything and she says no there isn’t you’re good so obviously, I believed her because like she works there and she looked in the binder so I take a few bites and I know I’m like it has to be a seed or something so I take it to one of the chefs and I ask what it is and they didn’t know so they took it to someone else to show and they came back and they said it is sesame seeds. Which I am allergic to and I had already asked a worker if there are any seeds or nuts in this. I think that this is unacceptable and could’ve caused me a serious allergic reaction. I had a really itchy mouth after and my stomach still hurts so bad. It is not OK to not have common allergies listed on the menu and especially in the nutritional binder, luckily, I am not severely allergic because that could kill someone. I’m seriously disappointed in this restaurant as a whole."

"What a place! If I lived in Phoenix I would be here regularly. The menu options were vast and what I chose was delicious! The atmosphere was a little crowded/loud for me but it was a weekday at lunchtime so I wasn’t surprised. Lots of folks working and eating together. The staff kept tables well cared for and cleaned up quickly! My only complaint on my meal was a little bit too much of the sauce/toppings on the roasted broccoli and cauliflower risotto—less would be more. That being said, the portions were superb and my steak was cooked perfectly."

"I want eat like this everyday! This was my first time at a Flower Child and I loved it. The food was delicious, and there was almost no wait. My only gripe is that a lot of the tables were dirty, with crumbs and food bits. So it was hard to find seating that didn’t feel a little gross. This didn’t take much away from the experience as the staff was sweet and the food was amazing."
