"Let me start by saying I'm FROM Texas and I smoke my own meats. "Barbeque" means that you are smoking meat at a low temperature for a long time. That being said, here are my impressions. I had the brisket and the hot link with beans and Cole slaw and a piece of cornbread. The brisket did not appear to have been smoked. There was no smoke ring and no smoky flavor. It had very little flavor, rather bland. The jalapeño hot link had a very good flavor but not much heat. The beans tasted like canned beans, nothing special. The Cole slaw was not the best I've ever eaten but not the worst either. It was rather average. The cornbread, being the least expensive item to prepare, should have been a big square and a couple of inches thick. I was disappointed when they served me a 2x2 square that was about an inch thick. However, after the first bite I was okay with not having a larger piece. There wasn't anything special about it. Honestly it was a little disappointing. My wife had the pulled pork and the ribs. She said the pork was very greasy but she liked the ribs. The meat came off the rib bones nice and clean without falling off in your hands. So kudos on that. They had a Sweet and a Spicy sauce. The sweet sauce had the best flavor. However both sauces were as thin as water. To wrap it up, the hot link was the best of the meats and the slaw was the best of the sides. I understand it's difficult, if not impossible, to serve BBQ in a "fast food" type of setting. So they at least get credit for trying. The two fellas serving the food were conversational and engaging. They were polite and had a sense of humor. But I don't think we will eat there again."
"Had the two meat platter with pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was decent, but I’ve definitely had better. The Mac tasted like noodles, not so much cheese, BUT. The veg of the day? Fantastic. The spices that were on the broccoli were better than the spices on the meat. The pulled pork was good. Not sure what’s “spicy” about their spicy sauce though? I’m not big on spicy things but that could just be considered a normal BBQ sauce, and the sweet is almost too sweet. It’s not bad, but I don’t think I’d desire it again."
"Ordered some BBQ for delivery and we ordered the two meat platter: brisket & sausage (x2) and double ribs. We chose the Mac n cheese & potato salad for the sides, since we aren't a big fan of the beans. The meat was really good, great smoked flavor in the brisket, the sausage was good as well. I was skeptic about ordering the ribs, since the last time we had it, it was dry, but thankfully this time around, the ribs were perfect."
"Order the two meat platter... The sliced brisket was real good, the pulled pork was horrible. It was burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside.. Basically was burnt hard and mushy... not ideal for pulled pork. Macaroni and cheese: watered down it looked like yellow water and tasted like it too."
"Great BBQ! (considering we’re not in TX) Meat was perfectly cooked, and the sides were great. Staff is super nice and the order was ready very quick. My only prob was that the cornbread was placed with the meat and soaked up some of the liquids. Kinda took away the cornbread’s distinct flavor. Maybe put a napkin underneath or use separate container? Otherwise excellent and highly recommended!"
