Denny's

"In town from Chicago and staying across the way at the Comfort Suites. I was told Denny's takes care of the Hotel customers. Wrong. I went in an was amazed at the blasting 1950's music and a foul smell of spoiled food. There were 3 tables with customers. The sign said wait for hostess to be seated. I waited 10 minutes with no one coming to greet me or seat me. There was one waitress who avoided looking in my direction. A Latina lady went in front of me to pay her bill and while paying, she was nice enough to tell the Latina waitress in Spanish that I was waiting a while and pointed toward me. After the lady paid her bill, the waitress started to walk me toward booths. She said pick a booth, I say this one is fine. She then says, I just cleaned that one. Can I sit you here while pointing to the booth behind it. What? So I don't sit at a booth that was cleaned. Insane. So I sit at the booth, never offered anything to drink. I have the menu closed for another 10 minutes, and she never comes back. I walked out, went across the way to Culver's where I could get served. So to be frank, I make a very good salary, and could buy the Denny's if I wanted to. I also tip above normal people. Couldn't believe the lousy treatment. This restaurant would not survive a week in Chicago. Just close and let someone else open something near the Hotel."

"Today, my mother and I had a lovely breakfast here! The food was great and we loved our waitress, Lisbeth! She was very attentive and made our experience enjoyable and easy with how good she was at her job! Next time, we hope we get her as our waitress again."

Yes breakfast for dinner Jaime was the only one working and even tho she was stretched thin she gave us great customer service. Thank you Jaime for your hospitality and for laughing with us tonight. Food was out fast and taste like it was supposed to as well."
