"We are very lucky to have several Cafe Rio close to where we live. We dine at SanTan location at least once a week. We have seen improvement in the this location in the past year or so. Joanne seems to be in charge here. She is incredibly organized and efficient. She moves fast and is very attentive to the customers' in and out. She makes sure that the costumers are served quickly and smoothly. I watched her constantly checking every item to make sure that they are well stocked. The serving counter is cleaner than many other Cafe Rio locations. I can always count on them to have whole wheat tortilla available. Which is not the case in several other locations. Tricia is another courteous and efficient worker here. Needless to say that we like this cafeRio location the best for many good reasons."

"This place sucks. The staff purposely overcharged for sides of salsa to scrape $$. They were all so pissed off having to work there. I had to ask if I could actually pay for my food and they were thoroughly annoyed I asked to pay for my food. Throwing the tongs all pissed off bc some big wig client or maybe local manager is coming in 30 minutes. Also to have an open kitchen look that disgusting is making me regret paying for the food. First time trying it and never coming back. It’s like a crappy version of chipotle. I get no one wants to work in food service but y’all are visibly angry with each other and the customers today. I don’t blame the employees they are just trying to get through the day. The management needs to change she was wild"

"I recently dined at Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The place's cleanliness left much to be desired, and it was surprising to find it dirty even though the restaurant was empty. The customer service I received from both employees who assisted us needed to be improved. While they weren't rude, their lack of friendliness was noticeable. The price for two meals with 2 drinks, chips, and salsa came to a hefty $45, which felt steep considering the overall experience. I had higher expectations for Cafe Rio, and I hope they can improve to provide a better dining experience for their customers."

"We REALLY miss Cafe Rio since moving to San Antonio. So it’s always one of our first stops when we come back to visit Arizona. Prices have gone up A LOT since we moved. But portion sizes have done down or not changed. Love that they offer a military discount to their service members. Please keep doing that! Order your burrito enchilada style!! So good! We will continue to visit."
