"What a great pasty experience. This local gastro-pub "chain" has a few locations. If they are all as good as this downtown spot, it is a keeper. The Oggie, which is based on the traditional pasty (meat pie) from Cornwall area of England, is a good portion with a generous filling of peppered steak cooked very tender, sliced potatoes, onions, and rutabaga all wrapped in a very buttery and flakey crust. Everything about it was well prepared, from the perfectly cooked interior ingredients to the phenomenally crisp and golden brown pastry crust. The red wine reduction sauce compliments the pasty very well, though I am not the biggest fan of the strong red flavor. The Banoffee Pie is also a delicious compliment to the meal, though I would recommend sharing. It is a substantial portion that is made quite sweet by the caramel sauce. The graham cracker crust is nice and thick, cooked through, holds together well, but without the taste of fillers or binders. The atmosphere is great and there is an obvious variety of entertainment and opportunity at various times of the week, month, or year."

"Came to this place on a Friday night and was not disappointed with the food, service, and atmosphere. We sat upstairs where we were amazed with the layout/design (brick wall, wooden beams, etc). Music was great, you were able to play pool, darts and of course eat and drink. Food items ordered were the signature pasties - which we were told were made as listed, no substitutions and are very popular so some food items were sold out for the day. We ordered the Cajun chicken and the royale with cheese - both of which were delicious. I had the Cajun chicken which I thought the crusty pasty on the outside was made just right and you could taste every ingredient in there. For me, the chipotle sauce is what stood out and was the kicker for the chicken Cajun altogether. Would definitely come back when in Phoenix again."

"Really likes this place. Ordered the bangers and mash Cornish pastry and it was delicious. If they had had Scotch eggs, for sure it would have been a 5 star rating. The staff is awesome too."

"Convinced my co workers to come here for lunch and we all agreed we wish we could have planned for an after work gathering so we could enjoy the full libations they had to offer. Luckily the food was AMAZING. Proportions, perfect. Taste, couldn’t get enough. Service, attentive but not over done. All around I could eat here daily!"

"Very nice place to hang out and grab a drink. Had a classic pasty with a beer, and I enjoyed it very much. It was my first time having a pasty, so I have nothing to compare it with. It was good to me. There was a special wine based gravy that it came with. That was good too."
