"This is hands-down the best Ethiopian food in Phoenix! Flavors are so complex and developed. We're vegetarian, so we usually go for the veggie combos and lentil sambusas. The ambience is friendly and warm, and there's an extra eating area with Mesob basket tables for a more communal and intimate setting. My husband and I enjoy this spot for date night, and my daughter loves eating with her hands. For an extra treat, try the coffee ceremony. We're not Ethiopian, but we just love this spot. Once you taste the food, you won't be sorry."

"Went for dinner to try a new place. My partner got an Ethiopian beer and I tried the honey wine. The wine was light and not too sweet. We each got a different lamb dish which came with plenty of Ethiopian bread. It was delicious and filling and a lot of food for the price. There is even a small shop at the back that sells shirts and other things. Highly recommend"

The birz is sweet and delicious, and the lamb was perfectly cooked, served piping hot and quite literally the best butter-braised lamb I've ever had. The injera was fluffy and just the right sourness and came with a bright fresh green salad. Highly, highly recommend coming here."
