"It was our first time here. First and foremost I'll say, the steak carried the entire meal! It was phenomenal!!! The sides, meh. Except the apple cobbler. It was surprisingly Excellent! Which is rare for a restaurant. Honestly, I did not like the cowboy beans at all. But they've been the same for 60+ years. So there is that. Kinda hard to argue, but that's my opinion. The salad was pretty basic, and just fine. The baked potato was okay, no complaints. I didn't care for the bread. Thick white bread. Baked off site, daily, and for them specifically. I just prefer Texas toast, rolls, cornbread, biscuits, something. Anything. Just not plain bread. But I'm southern. We don't do plain bread. Okay, service. It was exceptional. Dakota was our server and he was amazing. A well oiled machine. Effortless, he made it look so easy! And it isnt. Its hard work. He had our table, a table of three, a table of four, and a large group of about ten. He was perfect. Right there at the perfect time. Every time. He has been there 20 years! One of the character actors would stroll through the restaurant and the bar (where we went after dinner) and speak with people. He seemed very authentic and was an interesting guy. He's been there 27 years. He told us one of the cooks has been there longer than that! (maybe why the steak was beyond amazing). Must be a good place to work too! We also met a really nice couple from Mexico. They visit pretty often, and have for many years. They spoke very highly of the place. I can't recommend it enough. The magic shop is the only other thing we did in town (just us two big kids, no little ones). Definitely check it out. Super nice guy!"
"This is a really cool, laid-back steak house. It opened in the 60s and is located in Trail Dust Town. The portions are large and delicious. You will find hundreds of neck ties tacked to the rafters. The custom is if you wear a tie, they will cut ✂️ it off in good fun. (Not your average dress up steakhouse) it is then labeled with your name and nailed to the ceiling. So have fun with it and wear something crazy. For birthday's they will sing to you and bring you ice cream covered in chocolate syrup. It is a fun, light-hearted restaurant."
"While on vacation, we were looking for a fun place to eat and discovered the Trail Dust Town area. We didn't get to visit all of the shops, but we did see the wild west stunt show and dined at Pinnacle Peak for the cowboy steak dinner. The whole experience was fun, and I would definitely recommend it."
"Great atmosphere! Love the whole wild west decor starting from the car park and into the restaurant! All the servers are wearing cowboy hats and their bar saloon is nice. Apparently if you wore a tie here, they would cut it out! The whole ceiling is filled with ties!! The steaks are huge! Beans were surprisingly good. Overall, if you are visiting Tucson, a wonderful experience! We came a little late around 7.30pm so the park was closed, I think if you came around 5pm there would be more things to see!"
"Always a fun time at PP!!! The atmosphere is rustic and they can accommodate large parties, reservations are accepted for large parties… Don’t forget to wear your tie! We had steaks, salads, beans, and Salmon in our group.. The steaks tender but all agree no flavor at all.. The Salmon salad is generous and fresh.. The ranch beans are super yummy! They sing and celebrate birthdays and special occasions.."
