"I mean they should call this a bar instead of a cafe, because I only see a few options for coffee and no pastries so if you want to come here just so you know it’s not a very light place it’s more of a dark place"
"With a name like this, of course we had to stop. Cute restaurant with lots of reference to “roadkill “. Even the menu selections our named that way however, the correct descriptions are in the menu as well. Both of us ordered burgers. My partners burger was to have onion rings on it when it was served. No onion rings; no mention of them when asked, we were told they were out of onion rings. Would have been nice to know at time of ordering, so a different selection could have been made. No mention of this at check out either. A bit on the long side for the food to be served after ordered, suppose this guarantees, it is freshly made. Food was tasty. And the pie!!! I have never seen such pie before! And it was delicious as it looked. Pricey at $7.99. It was soooo good. The decor is fun to look at. Worth the stop."
"This was our main reason we decided to "get our kicks on Route 66." From the get-go we were in for a treat as we were seated and began the "roadtrip" thru the menu. I ordered the Hungry Man meal consisting of pancakes (light and heavy-fluffy), Home Fries (sturdy squares of filling goodness), scrambled eggs with cheese (scrambled somehow different, whipped-up with a combo of love, care and commitment). The bacon; also better tasting than usual...the sausage was good too. Jamie acted as the ringleader through our whole breakfast; staying up on our drinks and recommending for dessert the German Chocolate Cake and the Apple Pie A LA Mode (the best I've ever tasted). Roadkill Cafe is also chock-full of souvenirs for purchase and great picture opportunities, both inside and outside. The unisex bathrooms were clean and had baby-changing tables. Highly recommended!"
"The omelette was great. The hash browns were good (not quite as crispy as some of the photos), the coffee is good and the service was exceptional. 3 stars because the TVs were turned to radical political news. I found it distracting, and it felt a bit like the establishment wanted to make it clear where they stand. If they had a sign outside supporting radical politics, I wouldn’t have gone in, I shouldn’t have to learn about it once I’ve already committed to eat here."
"Definitely an old town feel to this place that suits it. The staff is friendly and they had a decent size menu, although the foods had unique names they were just normal American food. I do wish they did sell some more exotic food given their name but overall we loved it. We got the riblets, fried steak, and the kids had a bean burrito. Overall everything tasted amazing, our favorite was the riblets, and their hot sauces were a must buy. We’ll be back if we ever come down this path :)"
